#9 || Dhani || cont 2---
Dhani soon found himself in the library rather than the cafeteria. He didn't feel like being bothered or stared at. He quickly scanned the room and noticed that everyone was focused on the computers. That was good. No one looked up to see him.
The corner, where the window was, was where you were sitting. As Dhani was looking for some place to sit he spotted you glaring out into the window. Dhani felt something stir inside him. He watched you and took a note of your dream-like state. He saw earphones and looked for any reaction of the world around you. Nothing. You were completely drown out.
Dhani thought to himself that you didn't want to be bothered. There was some small part in him that was saying to sit somewhere else, but the part that wanted you, that was over powering everything else. He took a seat at the same table as you, like four seats away. Nothing. You didn't notice him sit. You were still looking out of the window.
Dhani was curious to what you were thinking. Imagining something that wont happen? Or was she thinking about stuff that did happen? Dhani looked at his fingers awkwardly after minutes of sitting there. He tried to look preoccupied with a book. But he found himself sneaking quick glances at you. He noticed the granola wrapper held in your hand. He noticed the peach coloured fine string around your wrist, like a bracelet. Dhani was very observant. He was taught to take everything in. But he couldn't find himself to talk to you. He pictured his dad laughing at him, telling him to speak. But he didn't know what to say.He mentally groaned at how awkward he was. He let out a loud sigh and sank down in his chair, looking across the room.
Just then, Dhani's eyes lit up. He was able to hear something. It was so quiet yet so loud, he wondered how he didn't hear it before. It was coming from your ear buds. It was music. Familiar music. It was his dad's.
He looked at you again with an all new spark in his eyes. You didn't recognize him, but you listened to his dad's music. It was perfect.
"Something." He said staring at you intently. Once hearing the voice, you sat up straighter and took out your ear buds. You turned around and was face to face with Dhani. Was he here the whole time? You must've looked crazy.
"Excuse me?" You say again feeling embarrassed that you didn't hear him the first time. Dhani smiled knowingly and bit his lip.
"Something. You like that song?"
You felt the tension going away and you immediately blushed. Dhani seemed to love it. You unconsciously tucked stray hair behind your ear and looked up, giving Dhani a smile.
Dhani's heart stopped once he saw you smile. He's never felt this way before. You were smiling because of him. Dhani soon found himself unable to speak anymore.
"Yeah, do you?" You say staring at him.
Clearing his throat, he tried regaining composure.
"It's..very close to me." He said smiling.
Right then it was a moment of silence. It was two kids meeting each other for the first time, but it felt like two people reuniting. He finally understood what his dad was saying in his songs about what being absolutely dazzled by someone feels like. He was looking at the most beautiful girl he has ever seen.
You bit your lip and let your eyes flicker to his lips for a split second before meeting his eyes again. You put out your hand for him to shake.
"Hi, I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier.." You say while he shook your hand. It was so warm. The feeling seemed to spread. "I'm y/n"
