HOW I BELIEVE THE SQUAD'S PARENTS WERE/ACTED LIKE

alex - controlling about everything, even the small details

light - forced to live with his uncle/parents left him

charli - had high expectations for school (grades, education, etc.)

jaxx - homophobic/never liked Jaxx

sora - dad cheated on mom/dad was abusive and an alcoholic

levi/luca - a lot of fights/divorce/parents were never home for them

HEADCANONS

Alex
- WANTED HER TO BE PERFECT
- made her do chores at a young age
- was taught that women should care for the house and that men do all the work
- never let her go out
- her parents made her leave the house right on her eighteen birthday

Light

- never knew who his real parents were
- lived with his uncle and grandma for his entire life
- uncle light tried to care for him but couldn't so he went to live with his grandma
- always had a hard time at school because of Light focusing more on his grandma and his uncle

Charli

- very strict about grades
- only wanted an "A's" nothing less
- homeschooled for her elementary year because her parents wanted her to have a "good education for her first school years"
- didn't allow her to get a boyfriend till after college (but secretly dated light and never got caught)

Jaxx

- once his parents found out that he likes boys they kicked him out of the house even though it was late at night
- the first person he called was sora asking if he could stay the night
- jaxx tried to go back to his house to get some of his stuff and found some of his belongings outside of his house (some broken and the rest got burnt down)
- had to crash down at different people's places until he could get his life sorted out (mainly stayed at sora's place)
- jaxx was always afraid of relationships with people the same gender as him because he feels like if his parents were to find out and hate him even more (so when he started dating sora, he was very scared and closed-off about it)
- never seen his family since

Sora

- sora's father became an alcoholic when sora was three
- started hitting sora when he was five (started hitting his wife when sora was four)
- sora's mom had to care for him all by himself
- divorced when Sora was seven
- the husband went to jail
- sora's mom had to get three jobs to sustain a healthy life for her and sora
- sora also got a job at a young age to help his mom, but his mom didn't want him to worry for her and told him to go have fun and worry about working later
- sora donates some of the money she gets to his mom

Levi/Luca

- they started fighting when levi was eight and when luca and when luca was five
- levi would try to get luca out of the house so he didn't have to hear the constant screaming and shouting
- sometimes levi would wake up to loud screaming
- levi would hide under the bed when they were to fight
- luca would squeeze his favorite stuffed animal and hide underneath blankets
- divorced when levi was eleven and when luca was nine
- after the divorce, levi and luca's mom would always go out clubbing and out to party and was never home for her children
- this forced levi to learn how to cook, clean, and also care for luca (had a few panic attacks for the first few days)
- would always bring different men over
