wrong universe, right person - soraxx

 inspired by @Sgt Beattle Squad Task Force on discord and based on their story but with my twist and flare to it

In the deep forest, there was a small little library filled with tons of books. Jaxx was on top of a rolling ladder attached to some bookshelves. He was looking for a few books for his research about spells and charms. He was testing out some new potions his friends told him to try. While climbing down the ladder with books in the redhead's hands, once he reached the bottom he felt someone hugged him from behind. 

"My love," the mysterious voice says behind him. Jaxx flinched and ran away from him, grabbed his wand, and pointed it towards the mysterious man. From the cheery voice, turned out to be a boy with now an emotionless face and voice. Underneath his breath, he whispered to himself, "dang it, I'm in the wrong timeline."

"Who are you," Jaxx, backed up into the back wall with his wand ready to fire. "Tell me who you are? How did you get here?" The mysterious boy had cyan hair, a white and cyan scarf, but had a black cloak covering the rest of his body. 

"Why all the questions?" He perked up and grabbed a rolling chair and sat down. "Take a seat, let's talk."

Jaxx raised an eyebrow at him but still grabbed a wooden chair. "Who are you? How did you find this place?"

"The name's Sora." The boy Sora said. "I'm a time traveler and a space traveler, whatever you want to call me, trying to find the love of my life. I only appeared here because I thought you were him." 

"Wait, the love of your life?" Jaxx, now interested in what Sora was talking about.

"The boy I love, Jaxx, obviously from a different universe, there is something bad that's going to happen to him, and I need to warn him."

"Different universe?"

"Yeah, there are different versions of you from different universes. Like for instance, you are some magical, wizardry version. There's like an evil version of you, and farmer version, a royalty version, all types of Jaxx's."

"And for me," Sora continued. "I am a time and space traveler. But in other timelines, I could be a cowboy, a YouTuber, or maybe even a clown. I can time travel right now to see them all."

"But didn't you say something is wrong with me?" Jaxx questioned. "What is it? I need to know what's going to happen to my alternate, timeline self ."

"He basically going to be corrupted by a demon that could destroy our timeline. To put a blunt," the cyan boy said ever so calmly. "I need to get to him and save him before that could happen."

"Wait, so let me get this straight. So there are multiple versions of me in different timelines, and in one of those timelines, I'm going to be corrupted by a demon? And you, the supposed, love of my life, is trying to save me?"

"Mhm, exactly."

"You said that you were a time traveler yeah? Why can't you travel back in time and warm my alternative self about all of this?" Jaxx asked the cyan boy in front of him.

"Because that will mess up the timeline, come on aren't you a wizard? Aren't there like time-traveling noting in all of those books of yours?" Sora stood up and went to the bookshelf, grabbing one and going through the pages."

"Well I wouldn't be so interested searching up a topic like that," Jaxx grabbed the book out of Sora's hands, dusted the book off, and put it back on the shelf. 

"Well, traveling across space and time is really fun, and an interesting topic to research about." Sora looked down at some pocket watch and his facial expression changed from excitement to worry.

"Oh, sorry Jaxx, but I must be going soon. I still need to find him and warn him."

"Wait!" Jaxx yelled. "Can I ask you something real quick?"

"Yeah sure, what's up? Try to be quick though."

"Do I have, I don't know, some sort of love life in this world?" Jaxx asked all shy and nervously.

Sora looked at the boy and laughed. "Oh yes you do, but you're not going to find him if you're going to be in this library all day. Trapped in these woods. Why the woods again?"

"The scenery is nice, it's very relaxing and I get a lot of ingredients for spells and potions out here."

"Mhm, but maybe if you do venture out one day, you'll meet the love of your life." Sora look out a small pouch and grabbed something into his hands. He said some words resembling a spell and a portal opened up. "Bye-bye Jaxx. I hope to see you again later," He cheerfully said while waving to the boy.

"Bye," Jaxx waved and said back and watched the boy walk into the portal. "So it's a boy huh," Jaxx smiled to himself after saying that. He went back onto the ladder, looked around on the bookshelves for a bit, and climbed down the ladder with three books relating to time traveling and space traveling in his arms.
