"SERENITY WHITLOCK I TOLD YOU TO GO HOME EARLY. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?"- My father shouts at me.
"Hon calm down. You shouldn't do that to our daughter."- Yes mom that's it. My father is really angry. If looks could kill siguro naglalamay na sila ngayon. My mom looks at me worriedly like I'm her precious gem. She's very genuine and understanding.
"Dad I was at the headquarter the whole time. I want this. I want to serve people, I want to help them have their justice. What's wrong with that?"- I reasoned out. He's been so hard with me since high school. We used to be partners but I don't know what did I do wrong to make him treat me like this.
"Fuck Serenity! I don't want you to be a police woman. How many times do I have to tell you that? I want you in our company. You're our only child, you'll inherit everything we have." My mom is stroking the back of my dad to calm him down. Every time dad will be like this, my mom will just listen to us and calm us both. Later on she will talk to dad then me telling us that we should settle what our problems are.
"SERENITY ARE YOU LISTENING?"- Shit! We've talked about it multiple times already.
"Yes, but I'm sorry Dad. I love this job and I will continue fighting for it. I don't want to do anything about the company, I'm already happy for what I have right now." I saw how his forehead crinkled for what I've said.
"You are grounded Serene. You're fucking grounded."
"HON DON'T DO THAT" my mom shouts at my father.
"No, leave this to us. You're daughter should learn from her mistakes"
"No dad, you can't do that. What mistakes are you talking about? What the hell is your problem? We used to be partners. We used to be close. We used to be happy, you used to understand me. What happened now? What the fuck did I do wrong? Fuck this life!"
I went outside our house. I heard him shouting my name to comeback. But my mom is appealing to my father to give us time to think. Kinuha ko ang susi sa kotse ko, I'm driving very very fast. I am so frustrated. I don't get it.
Napakabilis ng takbo ko. Ito lang ang paraan para kumalma ang buong sistema ko. Dumating ako sa police station after 7 minutes. Ang dating tinatahak ko ng 20 minutes for a normal drive, pitong minuto nalang ngayon.
"Hey Whitlock, you look ugly when you're mad. Do you want to go with us?"- Mark said. Ka-batchmate ko siya nung nagte-training palang kami.
"Go to hell Mark." I cursed at him.
"Oh yes baby, I will go to hell as long as you're with me." He chuckles when I glare at him. Matagal na akong nililigawan ni Mark pero sadyang hindi ko maramdam yung spark sakanya, siguro dahil na din sa kilala siyang playboy ng HQ.
"Oh c'mon babe, paalis na sila." Hinila na niya ako palabas at pinasakay sa Chevrolet niya. I asked him where the team will go but he just winked at me and told me it's a top secret mission.
After a half an hour ride, we are in front of a mansion. A very beautiful and elegant mansion. What will be our mission here?
I grab my gun and went out of the car.
