My alarm went off at the wrong time again. I got up frustrated and tired.

"How many times do I have to reset you, dumb clock." I mumbled to myself. This is the 3rd time my alarm clock has done this. It's getting annoying.

That clock isn't the only thing that is annoying me. I have been having these strange headache. I haven't had these sense......wait......"SHOOT!!!! Man! I should've realized this by now."

I have these headaches every time a spirit or demon is coming. "Man! Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid! I need to get ready." I grabbed my door handle a went (very quietly) down stairs. I walked pass the kitchen. Pass the living room. My foster father was asleep on the couch again. The t.v was on the commercial channel. Oddly, he likes watching commercials.

I walked down to the basement and turned on the lights.

I looked around. "Now, what did I do with it. This is so not a good time for me to forget we're I put it."

I looked and looked, then I found it. The chest was in the corner by the shelf. I opened the chest up and I reached to grabbed the equipment I need, but before I could get even one thing my head started to feel like it would burst open. Then it stoped. And when it stops that fast then the spirit or demon is already here. I looked around. Then I saw a man mabey a year older than me.

"Who are you?" I said loud with no pride at all.

"What?! So you are the princess of portals? I thought she would be more older." The man said.

"Well, excuse me for being fifteen. How about you what are you and why do you ask my name? What do you want?" I stood up. He moved into the light. Honestly I thought he would have wrinkles, but he was gorgeous! He had dark hair. His bangs covered one of his eyes only alittle bit. He was tall, muscular, and he looked like a human. All the demons I came across lokked.....well, like demons, but this one is different. For one thing he is gorgeous.

"My name is Eric. How about you?" He said. He walked over to one of the boxes and sat on it. He looked up and down. At first I didn't know what he was looking at, but then I figured it out. He was looking at what I was wearing! I covered my body with my hands.

"Why are you blushing, honey?" Eric said it in a smart way.

"Because your checking me out!" I took a big sigh. "Tell me what you want so you can leave." I uncovered my body.

"Well, I will tell you what I want but I don't want to leave." Eric said with a serious face.

"What do you mean "I don't want to leave"! You have to." I said.

"First, I don't have to. And second I am not a bad demon." Eric said. He had that look on his face.

"Then you are a spirt?" I asked sitting next to him.

"No, I am a demon but just not bad." Eric said with a boyish smile.

"Then what are you hear for?" I asked. I thought he would say to take me to help but no he said something that surprised me.

"I came here to protect you. That is all. Also, why are you blushing so hard?"

Eric said with a smart-a** smile.

"I'm.....I'm.....I'm not! Why do you want to protect?" I said. Then quickly looked away.

"What other reason to make sure you don't die." Eric said.

"Why do you care most demons want to kill me, why not you?" I asked turning back to him.

"Well, because I care about you." Eric said with a serious face.

I covered my mouth. I was surprised.

"What....what do you mean!?" I said. I didn't know what he meant.

"Man, I forgot you lost your memory." Eric said. He looked sad.

"Why don't you tell me and I might remember." I said. I felt bad. But at the same time I felt curious. I want to know what I forgot.

"Okay, it's worth a try. When we were little me and you stood......." He kept on telling the story. Nothing came to me until he said..."Then these people took us both in to experiment on us. You for your eye and me for my abilities to kill....." Those words are the words that gave my memories back. The dreams I have been having we're only part, but now I will know everything.

I fainted. I could hear Eric's voice, but it was faint.

Then everything went white.
