When I started my story, I wasn't sure how it would be received, my purpose was to make people aware of those with special needs, no matter what form that was, physically, mentally, emotionally, my story is just one of many, many more stories out there waiting to be told. Many people are not even aware of their prejudices, it comes in many forms. Take the time to observe and listen to others, with respect and kindness, when you see someone in a chair struggling to reach something on the top shelf of a store, ask them if they need assistance, or someone struggling to get to their car with groceries in their arms, help them with their cart, that little bit of assistance is all it takes for them to get the job done. An act of kindness makes everyone feel good. Sometimes a smile is all we need.

So for now my story is told, and I know I wouldn't be who I am today without the wonderful examples I had through the years. Let's be a source for good and when people think of you let it be with fondness.
