~Calista's Pov~
"Hey, you should probably wake up, breakfast will be soon." I was shaken awake. I open my eyes and see a blond girl standing next to my bed. I didn't know her name.
"Oh, thanks."
I got up and grabbed some clothes to change into, and followed the blond down to the Great Hall.
"Thanks for walking with me, I would have gotten lost."
"No worries. I got lost on my first day, too." She smiled. "My names Marlene, by the way. I don't think I told you yesterday."
"You probably already know mine, but I'm Calista." I smiled.
"I think everyone knows your name at this point. Did you come from a muggle school or something?"
"No, I'm pureblood. After my mum passed when I was three, we moved to France and I went to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, or Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons in French. Then we moved back here."
"So you know French?" Her face lit up.
"Yes, you couldn't tell by the accent?"
"I guess you do have one. But your from London? How do you say Marlene in French?"
"Marlène. It's pretty much the same thing. But yeah, I'm from here. But like I said, we moved there when I was three, so I started talking when we were in France. So the accents sort of worn off on me, you would think it would after about 13 years." I laughed.
"Neat!" We got to the Great Hall and sat with her friends.
"Calista! Ready for classes today?" Lily looked up and saw me.
"I guess."
"Did you know she lived in France for 13 years?" Marlene said, sitting down.
"Really? We have a lot to talk about now. Where to begin." Violet laughed.
"My lives not that interesting. I'm sure yours are better."
"I wouldn't say it's interesting." Y/n mumbled, looking down at her food.
The boy with long hair who sat next to her whispered something in her ear, making her smile. The boy that was named after a star, Sirius, I think it was.
"We have Astronomy tonight, we can meat your dad then." Lily smiled.
"Er, yeah. He's nice." It wasn't fully a lie. He could be nice. But no one knew him like I did.
Y/n looked at me confused, but just looked back at the boy next to her.
"Classes will be soon, we should get going." Lily stood up, as well as Y/n, and two other boys. One with scars scattered across his face, and the other with round glasses.
"We have free period together today." Sirius looked up at Y/n.
"Yeah, I know. How could I forget?" She bent down and gave him a quick kiss before running off with the others.
"What class do you have first?" Marlene asked.
"I think it was Herbology."
"Yay! We have that together."
"Great!"

~Y/n's Pov~
I walked up to the stares of the Astronomy tower. I was quite early, about 15 or 20 minutes early. But I like to be early to that class. The only one I ever was early to. I liked to look up at the sky before anyone came up. But before I could walk up the first step, I heard yelling from the tower.
I felt bad listening in on a conversation, or an argument for that fact, but when it sounded like the new girl yelling, I wanted to know what happened.
"All you ever do is yell at me! And if you're not yelling at me, you're being to damn protective over me! Ever since mum died, you've been so protective. And you wonder why I enjoyed ever minute I spent away from you at school. But no! You just had to have us move back here, so you could get a job teaching, so you were closer to me! I didn't even want to move back here." It sounded like Calista.
"I had to be protective! You wouldn't be safe with only one parent."
"I can handle myself! Maybe try being just a little less protective. And yell at me just a little less. Then maybe we could be the happy family you always wanted. Maybe we could be happy again. The last time you were happy was when I was Three!"
"It's not my fault-"
"Non! Arrête. Tu me fais mal à la tête ! Les gens seront bientôt là!" She yelled, clearly speaking French. Her slight accent rolling off her tong. (No! Stop, you're making my head hurt. People will be here soon.) She ran down the stairs, so I walked away from the stairs to act like I didn't here anything. "Did you here any of that?" She asked.
I couldn't lie. "Yes, but I didn't mean to."
"Génial! Juste ce dont j'avais besoin." (Great! Just what I needed. -or- Awesome! Just what I needed) She said, and ran off. Now I felt really bad. Maybe her dad wasn't the best after all.
Maybe I could help her. I hope.
Slowly walking up the stairs and to up the tower, I saw her dad sitting in a chair. "Who might you be?" He said, a fake smile spreading across his face.
"Y/n L/n, I'm in astronomy for this day."
"Great! We'll start class once everyone gets here."
"Sounds good."
