You and JJ both get woken up in the middle of the night by your 18 month old baby crying.
"I'll get her" JJ says detaching his arms from around you and in your hair.
He gets up and goes into her nursery and takes her out of her crib.
"Hey sweetheart" he says in a soft voice.
Right when this baby sees JJ she immediately stops crying.
"What's wrong?" He says rocking her.
She babbles and lifts her arm up in his face.
"I love you so much" he says softly still rocking her.
"Let's go see mommy" he says as he slowly walks with her in his arms.
You have easily gone back to bed.
"Mommy even looks pretty when she sleeps" he says quietly to the baby, who smiles.
"You agree?"
The baby smiles again.
He gets back into the bed and sits up with the baby in one hand and he starts playing with your hair again with the other.
Waiting for the baby to fall asleep, he sings to her a lullaby.
By the end she is snoring.
He puts her back in the crib softly and walks back into the bed with you and cuddles you which half wakes you up and makes you smile.
You hug him as you slowly drift off into a sleep again.
He kisses the top of your head and slowly falls asleep.
