Her breath paced with the rhythm of her ever beating heart, aching to break against a promise she had failed to keep to herself.

The sound of her now bare feet padded against the side walk, echoing down the narrow alleyway surrounding each side. The buildings though unmoved, seemed to be closing in around her in a maze of suffocation.

This is why she swore off feelings of riddled desire, it only lead to heart ache and in other cases much worse. It wasn't until she stopped she had realized, she was utterly lost.  Not only by means of direction but in her overbearing thoughts as well. Everything started to become a blur before her.  All she wanted was the swirl of voices inside her head to end.

It was only seconds after the thought, the world soon began to fall around her. Though this time it was not a dream or a subconscious phenomenon, but truly falling through the pitch black oblivion. Its as if time had stopped as she endlessly fell, granting the peaceful quiet she had begged for. What felt like minutes could have been hour and yet, she could never tell. Falling down just as Alice did the rabbit hole.

Little did she know...Wonderland would have been a much better place to fall into.

The hard smack of her face off of the hard ground beneath her echoed off the walls and through her brain. Surprised her skull was still intact, she couldn't say the same for those who surrounded her. Mounds of scattered bones and flesh covered the moist ground around her, making her stomach grow weak from the putrid smell. The world spun as she slowly began to inch herself up off her aching palms, to in shock to recollect what was really going on.  Though unlike her dreams, she was fully aware what around her was real. Chilled droplets fell against her warm skin, causing her to shiver as her eyes zoned in to the moonlit walls.  The pungent earth around her, made her wonder if she really did fall down the rabbit hole into hells cavern.

"You have a keen disposition for not listening, don't you Luna.", The voice startled her from her focus, turning to face the voice. "You always were so much more like your Mother then your father,  always so curious without the payment of consequence.", coming out of the shadows loomed the tall figure she once thought was a dream, "Ah yes child, you didn't think I knew it was you behind the bookcase many moons ago. For a Syr, you are very blind to the world around you.",  The shadows voice stayed hushed, his words making Lunas head spin even more. "You see child, you and I are not of this place, more so me then you.  You are a rarity Luna, one that many eons ago was still just a mere myth. But now..."

The room grew still and heavy, though Luna always felt different then everyone else she didn't think she was anything special. Not like this. She tried to hold back a gag as she spoke, "I don't understand, my parents were completely normal. Human. How can I be something I'm obviously not? I'm tired of these half assed answered questions and everyone treating me like a child! I want the damn truth!",  Her voice raised in tone, making the walls of bone quake around them. Her heart rate sped, denying any part of this. She braced herself for an impact that never came. The quivers slowly came to a halt as she took a deep breath to her own dismay, she couldn't be the reason for this. She's not special. She's just a normal girl who wants to get away from this weird town and everyone in it.  Though she never thought that wish would get her here...

Sadness washed over her at that, seeing Elijah's eyes in memory, breaking her heart all over again.

"Now you've done it girl, there's not much time for us now before they come for me.",  The shadow man spoke in hushed anger. She stared, watching the figure fidget to what should have been a rib cage. Pulled from the abyss, he held out from a skeletal grip a small golden amulet garnished with peridot, "Take this child, Ada will know what to do with it for your sake. Now think about home, only home and go, this is not your burden to bare and not your world to be trialed." He rushed her, placing his shadowed hand around hers on the amulet. Flinching back as the shadow burned around her palms, feeling like a thousand tiny daggers jolting through her body, "Only Home, You're our last hope.", Those were the last words spoken as she closed her eyes, though utterly lost on where home was. Her mind betrayed her, thinking about her mother and her last time with her at the beach. Though, another person cut through her memory like a double edged sword; Elijah.
