WILLOW'S POV

I loved Halloween, not as much as Charlie did because it was the one day I didn't restrict his candy intake but close. It was the one day I was allowed to be someone else without being judged. I could take a break from the big sister role who had everything put together and take up another role. I hadn't done a great job of that this year considering I was invisible girl who literally had to babysit her irresponsible baby brother the human torch. The only thing working for me was that Jack was taking responsibility of Charlie by helping to watch over him so I could at least have some fun.

The party was already in full swing with lots of teens in attendance dressed to impress. There were also kids present but not that many and most were in middle school or older. Charlie was probably the only under ten years old kid in attendance. I'd feared that no one would dress according to the theme but I was proven wrong by how everyone came in different superhero groups. The Avengers were the most dressed group, followed by Justice league, X-men, DC legends of tomorrow, Doom Patrol, Teen Titans, Shield Agents, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and a lot more groups that I had no idea even existed.

A group even came in dressed as the Asgardian Gods which impressed me. Hands down I loved the group that came in dressed as Birds of Prey led by their own Harley Quinn. They came second to the three adorable middle schoolers dressed as the power puff girls. I thought our group was going to be unique dressed as Fantastic Four but someone had leaked my idea and there were three more groups. It didn't matter though because we were dressed for fun and couldn't really partake in the competition because we were the judges.

"Lover boy not here yet?"Jack yelled in my ear over the loud music.

"Who's that?"I asked playing dumb because I knew who he was referring to.

"The one responsible for helping you break my Mortal Kombat machine."Jack replied.

"We didn't break it, it froze from being over used. It's already back in commission now."I defended.

Henry and I had taken our competition a little too far a few days back and ended up 'breaking the game' in Jack's words. It had been fun and even though Jack had thoroughly scolded us afterwards, we still laughed about it.

"Good but you two are banned from it."Jack stated taking me by surprise.

"You can't do that, it's our favorite game."I whined.

"Oh yes I can, I do own it after all. Now go refill the punch bowl, you're still on the clock."Jack instructed before wandering off into the crowd.

I had no idea Jack was angry to the point of banning us from the game but there was nothing we could do about it. He was pretty mad when the game froze so his frustration with us was justifiable. Henry and I would just give him some time to calm down before we talked him into allowing us to play again.

Speaking of Henry, he was already two hours late and I was getting worried that he wasn't going to show up. Talking him into wearing the costume had been no easy feat so I was hoping he wouldn't change his mind about coming. It wasn't because I needed him to complete our group but because we were getting close and I liked spending time with him, but if anyone asked it was definitely because our group was incomplete without him. It was bad news for me to get attached to Henry because it would make leaving him behind much more difficult but I couldn't help myself when I was around him. We were alike in so many ways especially in sharing our pain so it was hard staying away from him. I didn't want to dwell too much on the leaving him part, everything would fall into place when the time was right.

I got into work refilling the punch bowl like Jack had asked before going around making sure no one was breaking anything or getting into mischief. I loved how we had decorated the arcade to fit into the whole spooky Halloween theme. The fake cobwebs were a menace as they kept getting into your face if you weren't careful but besides that everything else was great. The four of us had even carved our own pumpkins and placed them by the counter. That had been a lot of fun.
