Outer Banks - JJ X y/n

Chapter 7

It was Monday so I had to go to work. JJ and I both work at the country club restaurant as waiters, serving people their caviar and wine. Bleh. 

"Mornin' Jayj" I leaned in a kiss with my leg up in the air.

"Aight I'm off to work, JJ wanna ride with me?" I shouted while putting on my makeup in the living room mirror. 

"Ride as in..." he trailed off, winking at me.

I slapped him across the head (not too hard though).

"Sure I'll come with you, but hold on" JJ was rolling a blunt on the kitchen counter.

"Can you make one for me please?" I ask grabbing my black converse.

"Already did," he said, winking.

John B and Pope were both still sleeping, they both slept late last night. Kiara had already left to work and left some snacks in the fridge for us to bring. Kie was always putting others first. I am so glad to have her as my best friend.

Today was busy. I saw a family sit down at a table next to the beach so I went up and served them. 

"Hi, my name is y/n and I'll be your server for today," I said in my happy waiter voice.

They all turned to me. The Camerons. Ward, Rose, Wheezie, Sarah and Rafe were all there. Rafe looked up at me and gave me a smirk. Oh, how I would LOVE to punch him right now. Everyone started placing orders except Rafe. 

"And how about you?" I asked pointing my pen to Rafe.

"I'll have, uh- just- fish and chips" he pointed it out in the menu.

I nodded and walked off. Then someone started shouting at me.

"Wait!" a male voice yelled.

I turned around and Rafe was standing behind me with his hair in his eyes.

"You forgot my drink" he looked me up and down.

Something I have never told the pogues before, and never will, was that I used to like Rafe. Well before he turned into a drug addict, psycho. When he started to take drugs he would ask me out but I would always reject him, so that's why we always had tension around us when we met. 

"What do you want then," I said rolling my eyes getting my notebook out.

"You," he said placing his hand on my shoulder.

"RAFE, I told you before, I don't want to date you... anyways I already have a boyfriend" I shoved his hand off me. I looked around to see if JJ was watching but he wasn't, good. I don't need any more fights and him losing his job.

"Aw c'mon, be with me! I'm much better than JJ" he went on. He started twirling my hair with his finger.

"No! I said no, so back off!" I clicked my pen giving him a sign to order.

"Water, thanks babe" he walked off going back to his table. I saw Sarah look at me when Rafe sat down. I don't know what she wants but I'm leaving.

I met JJ back at the kitchen. He was on his break eating leftovers. I walked over to him and he held out some fries for me.
