Peter's POV

"Ned?! Ned?!" I called until I finally found him. "Ned!"

He turned to me. "What is that?" Ned asked, referring to the water monster.

"I don't know," I said, still staring at it.

"What are you gonna do?" Ned asked, panicked.

"I left my suit in the hotel," I told him, turning to him.

"Why?!"

"Because I'm on vacation, Ned! Everyone's gonna see my face. Just, get them out of here." I tilted my head toward some of the kids from our class.

"Okay, okay," Ned said as he got everyone out of the way.

I looked back at the water monster which was smashing buildings, breaking them in half.

It turned away and roared as it fell back on the water causing a large wave, push- ing boats away from it.

"Get out of here! Go!" I yelled at some people who weren't from my class.

It rose from the water again and I screamed.

"Oh my God!" I ducked down and nearly fell.

It nearly hit me but, luckily, I had bent down in a corner just in time.

I heard people screaming as the water monster continued to spray them.

I put my hands out and my web shooters wrapped around my wrists. "Come on. Come on, come on, come on." I looked around the corner and at the water monster. I quickly turned around and shot a web at it but it went right through it.

I put my hand back to my side and sighed.

I watched the monster roar a couple more times before hearing people on a brid- ge starting to scream. I turned to them and then back to the monster. "Oh no you don't."

I got up and ran to a dock and started jumping from wooden logs that stuck out of the water. I jumped onto a boat and grabbed a long thin wooden stick that was leaning against the boat. I used the stick to help me jump up onto the bridge.

"You okay?" I asked some of the scared and confused people. "Get out of here. Go!"

The water monster hit the bridge, breaking part of the railing and pushing me against the other side.

I suddenly saw a flash of green hit the monster and it screamed. I looked around to try and find where it came from. And then I saw it. It was a man in strange gold and teal and soft red armor with a bright red cape. He had a weird bubble on his head that seemed to be clouded up with some weird light blue fog so I wasn't able to see his face. He was surrounded by some weird green fog and there were bright green triangle things on his hands.

I looked at him, confused. Everyone started screaming though the water mons- ters attention was on the strange man.

I looked around the bridge, looking for something to cover my face but stopped when I saw a blue, gold and black masquerade mask.

The water monster continued to try and hit the flying man but he continued to dodge him. The man flew around the water monster hitting him with blasts of bright green smoke. He used it to try and push the water monster over but made very little progress. Eventually the water monster pushed him back and the man fell on the boat.

The monster roared again and made hills of water rise from the ground. It roared once more as the strange man flew up from the water and continued blasting the bright green smoke at the water monster.
