"You puny little mud blood! Look at her she can't even stand!" Lucius yelled to his two friends. On the floor lie a weak and broken first year y/n. Lucius had hit her with every spell possible to learn before becoming a first year. "P-please s-stop." She pleaded harder. "Beg." Lucius pointed his wand at her throat. "Enough Lucius!" Another first year walked up to them. He had brown hair and grey eyes. "Blood traitor! Why do you stick up for her?!" He yelled as he stood up. "I said enough." The other boy was now pointing his wand at Lucius's throat. "F-fine." Lucius and his friends ran. The boy held y/n's body in his arms. "Are you okay?" She nodded weakly. "I'm Sirius."
The flash back ended when they reached the last room of James' house. He invited us over for the holidays. We all sat down in the living room.
"Holy hippogriffs, why do you keep it so cold in here?" Remus asked. Remus, Peter and I sat in front of the fire while James and my twin Lily sat on the couch. Lily almost hated James so they sat opposite of each other. Even though Lily and I were twins, we looked nothing alike.
"I can't believe we're starting our sixth year." Lily said surprised. "I know it's crazy." Remus replied.
"Has anyone heard from Sirius?" I asked worried. "Now that I think about it. No, he should be here." James responded. I sighed and stared in the fire. "I wonder where he could be?" Peter said.
Suddenly the door bell rang three times. I sighed in relief, only Sirius rang three times. "I'll get it." James got up and answered the door. "Muuuum!! I NEED YOU NOW!!!" His mother apparated there. "What's happened?!!!" She gasped.
I couldn't take it anymore. I went to see what was happening. I looked to see Sirius' face covered in blood. He passed out into James mother's arms. She took him into a room.
"I don't understand why we can't come in and see him?!" I asked pacing in the living room. "I told you. Mum wants him to rest." James said gently. "I don't care. I need to see him. What if he doesn't liv-" My breathing became harder.
"LILY!!!" James yelled. "What? Oh gosh y/n, not an anxiety attack." Lily and James brought me into another room while the others still sat in the living room. "Deep breaths remember. Relax. Think of the good outcomes. Steady your breath." I sat down not wanting to pass out.
What if Sirius didn't make it out alive? What if he did though? He wouldn't die like this. He's too fond of the way he's chosen to die. He wants to die a hero, protecting the one he loves.
I took a last deep breath. Still nervous I said to Lily, "I'm okay now." "So what's the panic for?" James asked me. "I- I'm worried about him." I thought for a moment, Is that all? "I don't wanna lose him. I think... I think I love him." I whispered. "Of course you do. You guys have been friends for 6 years." James joked. "When do I tell him?" "Whenever your ready." Lily laid a hand on my shoulder.
"Sirius is going to live and he'll be living with us now. I've already told the others." James mother said. "Is he up for visitors?" I asked. "He seems to be doing better." She informed me. "Thank you." This news made me so happy. I knew how much Sirius hated his family.
"I don't wanna go in alone." I told Lily. "Then we'll all come with." James suggested. Everyone but James mother came in.
"You gave quite the fright mate." Remus said to Sirius. "I apologize for that. I can't believe how lucky to have such great friends." "I can't believe your gonna live with us!" James yelled. "Once again, Sorry lads." Sirius told them he sat up and revealed his bandaged neck, chest, and cheek. "You'd best be apologizing to y/n." James laughed. "What happened?" Sirius asked. "She had a panic attack." James blabbered to him.
"Why?" He asked. "We'll leave you to alone." James suggested. "Yeah. We'll help Mrs.Potter with supper." Remus said.
"So everyone is gone. You can tell me now." Sirius said. He was lying on a queen sized bed so I sat beside him. I took a deep breath. "I'm in love with you Sirius and not just as friends. I don't wanna lose you." I looked down trying to avoid lookin at his perfect grey eyes. He chuckled and I got really nervous.
"I love you too y/n. Ever since the day of our first year." He said. His grey eyes and charming smirk lured me in for a kiss. When our lips met it was like fireworks started exploding inside of me.
A moment later we joined everyone for supper. I sat beside Sirius and across from Lily. Next to her was James.
Secretly Sirius held on to my hand. His warmth calming me down. James kicked Sirius under the table and held back a laugh. 'Knock it off' Sirius mouthed.
Sirius tightened his grip on my hand causing a blush to come upon my face.
