Lost in a different world

The Red Queen

I button up my vest that completes my new look.

The Queen have gifted me with a pair of black and red embroidered pants, a red, white and black button up shirt, a deep red vest and my boots.

I then look over to my other clothes and fold them up.

What have I gotten myself into.

The sun shines down on the Red Queen and her court while they play a game of croquet and while I stand beside the Queen.

Someone from her court with very big ears hands the Queen a flamingo to use as a stick to hit a poor hedgehog.

As she is about to strike, someone with a large chest runs up to her and whispers something in her ear.

"Off with his head!" She yells as her face turns red with anger.

"Oh boy" I say under my breath.

She and her court run off back to the castle as I take a walk around the castle grounds.

After wandering for a while, I see the same old hut that the Bandersnatch was kept in.

I peer inside to see, not the original Bandersnatch but one with pale fur and brown spots.

As I'm about to open the gate a guard runs up to me.

"You are requested at the throne room, Please follow me" he gestures towards the castle, so I follow his lead, not wanting to get onto anyone's bad side so soon.

When I enter the throne room, I am met with two faces, one being the queens and one that makes my blood run cold.

That's the guy from before! In the forest.

"Rain, this is Stain"

Stain looks down at me with a surprised face that soon contorts into one of evil glee.

"I believe Rain and I have already met" she slaunters down the steps towards me.

"You have?" She asks with surprise.

"This is the one you were searching for, the one that you sent me up to fetch" he smiles as he draws her sword.

"This is Olivia" he announces.

"Seize her!" The Queen shouts, commanding guards into the hall and soon surround me.

I look around for any way to escape with fear and fright bubbling in my chest.

My eyes scan the room until I see the only exit is behind the Queen, through the window.

I break into a sprint, surprising the guards and the queen.

She goes to protect herself but I just run past her and break through the window.

I expect to fall into some bushes but I just float?

It doesn't stay because I soon touch down onto the ground and break out running again.

This time I know where to go.

Finally I make it to the Bandersnatches cage and yank the door open, surprising the beast.

I hold out my hand, just like you would do a dog until it sniffs my hand and then licks it.

"Will you help me get out?" The animal rises and lets me climb on top of its back.

We get out of the courtyard but get stopped by a wall of guards.
