𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 25 : 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐎𝐮𝐭

    During the drive, Shino told Lynn many things about her life. Like how she became close to Akutagawa and how she lived inside the Mafia for years without being seen. Lynn told her about her own experience in the Mafia. How things both went up and down.

   The two laughed as they told each other jokes. They even jammed to the same song that played on the radio. "No way, you like this song too?" "Yes! It's one of my favourites!" As they reached their destination, Lynn stopped the car and turned off the engine. "Come on." Lynn spoke, gesturing the black haired female to get out. Once Shino stepped out, her eyes sparkled with admiration as she looked around. Tall buildings, shops, crowds, noisy cars on the streets and many more.

   Shino was fascinated just by looking at the surroundings. "C-can we try that..?" Shino asked as she pointed to a nearby cotton candy stand. Lynn took a glance and nodded, a smile appearing on her face. She took the younger female's hand and brought her there. "Alright, what flavour can I get for you two lovely ladies?" The worker asked politely. "Ah, it's okay, but this little one would like bubblegum flavour?" "One bubblegum coming right up!"

   Shino payed close attention as the worker placed sugar that was bubblegum flavoured into the machine. The worker pressed a button, making the machine move. The worker got a cotton candy cone and placed it in the moving circular machine. Slowly, a pink colored cotton appeared, sticking on to the cone. The worker waited for a few more minutes before handing it over to the petite girl.

"H-how much..?"

"It's on the house, dear. Enjoy your day!"

   After that, Lynn and Shino went to various other shops. The two also entered a clothing shop, where Lynn tried finding some clothing for her and Shino. Lynn looked through all the clothes and found cute ones that she thought would look good on Shino. "This denim skirt looks cute, go try it!" "Uhh.. Okay.."

   The two went on rides as well. Lynn told Shino that the ferris wheel was the best ride of them all. They sat down in one of the carts. After getting in comfortably, Lynn looked out the window. "It's calm up here, isn't it?" Shino asked. Her features expressed a soft and calm look. "Indeed." Lynn answered, her eyes closed. The two could hear each other's breathing although they sat across each other. Shino looked out and her eyes widened as she let out a small gasp. The view of the city was beautiful. Even if it wasn't night. It was elegant, Extravagant, extraordinary, and other words to describe the beauty of the place. Shino smiled. 'I love it out here.' She thought. Her smile faded as she remembered that she had to stay inside base for God knows how long. Lynn took notice of her look and asked her. "Hey, you good, bud?" Shino nodded. "You don't need to lie. I'm here, you can tell me." Shino sobbed slightly. ".. I-I don't want to go out once.. I love this world. The one where I can see everything, not just the same face and place.. I'm afraid.. That I'll get locked up again.." The back haired female. Lynn took her hands in hers. "Hey, listen.. If you ever, want to go out, call me. And if you don't want to do that, I'll tell Mori to free up some time and space for you." She said, smiling sweetly at the girl. "Thank you, Lynn." "My pleasure, Shino-chan."
