Meeting the Hemmings

"Aunt Dyl!", Nicole and James squealed and hugged me.

"Hi guys! Now let's go!", I returned their hug and tried rushing them out.

"Not so fast, Dyllyn. We haven't even seen Vivianne yet.", Gage stopped me.

"But Gage...", I whined.

"Dyl, your boyfriend can wait.", he said a little more stern.

"He's not my boyfriend.", I crossed my arms and glared at him.

"Well, whatever. He can wait.", Vivi then entered the room. "Ah, Vivianne, so go too see you again. We're they good?", Gage asked.

"As always.", Vivianne smiled. "Now go get this girl to her event.", Vivi said giving me a quick hug.

"Will do, Vivianne.", Gage grabbed the kids bags and we we headed out the door. We all gave a chorus of goodbyes as we waved.

The whole car ride to Cobys consisted of James pestering Nicole and me trying to block them out. Luckily it was a short one. When we arrived Coby was outside waiting for me. I hopped out, gave Gage and the kiddos a hug, then told Gage thanks for the ride and followed Coby inside.

"Hey." He smiled, "Can't wait for you and to meet my brothers."

"Yeah, me neither!", I smiled back.

"Just as a heads up, Luke has a friend over.", he warned me before opening the door. "Guys, this is Dyllyn. Dyllyn, this is Ben, Jack and Luke.", Coby introduced us. I shook Ben and Jack hands. I turned slightly and caught sight of Luke. There in front of me was the boy I met at the orphanage. The cute boy with such stunning features. The devilish blonde hair, the blue eyes, and he was wearing that same little smirk the first time I met him. He was also the only person who was able to get me to laugh within a day. I snapped myself out of it and shook his hand too.

wait a minute.", he said. "You're Dyllyn Bailey, aren't you?" He asked. "I remember you! How have you been?", he asked and embraced me in a hug.

"You- yo-you remember me?", I was a little taken off guard.

"Oh, yeah of course. You don't remember me?", his face dropped.

"Yes I remember you. It's just, we only spent like a day together and then I never saw you again. I found it hard to believe you would remember me.", I said.

"Trust me, you were hard to forget.", he smirked. I'm pretty sure I blushed. I was about to ask what the plans were until somebody walked into the room.

"Oh, this is Nathaniel." He's one of my friends from school. He's 17.", Luke informed me.

"I'm Dyllyn.", I smiled looking at the boy. He was tall, somewhat skinny, but not too skinny. He had braces, but he smile was so cute you hardly noticed. His eyes were a gorgeous deep brown that could put you in a trance.

"Hey, it's nice to meet you.", he smiled back. The words fell out of his mouth with a heavy country accent. It was quite charming. 

"You as well .",  I said. 

"Can we go now? I'm hungry.", Luke whined. 

"Fine, Jack and I will drop you all off somewhere.", Ben said grabbing his keys off the table. 

"Where do you want to go?", Jack asked while turning off his xbox.

"Ummm, where are you two going?", Coby asked, confused.

"Out.", they both replied simutaneously.

thanks, that clears things up.", sarcasm spilled from Cobys words. "The only way Dyllyn could come over was if  you guys or my parents are home."

They shrugged.

"Coby, Gage doesn't have to know. It will be fine.", I told him.

"Hmmm, so you're a bad girl, huh?", Luke smirked at me. I felt Coby glaring at him. (He's more protective over me than Gage.)

"I can be.", I smirked back. 

"Luke, quit flirting! Where are we taking  you for dinner?",Jack asked again.

"Ask Nathaniel and Dyllyn.", Coby and Luke replied. Niether one of them taking their eyes off me. I started to get uncomfortable and went to stand next to Nathaniel, "We'll talk.", I nodded as I walked towards him. "What do you want?", I asked Nathaniel. 

"I'm down for whatever. Maybe, Chilis?", he asked me. 

"Fine by me.", I smiled and told Ben and Jack, "We want Chilis!" 

Luke and Coby agreed and we all ran to the truck. Ben drove, Jack sat shot gun, and Nathaniel sat between them. I sat in the back between Coby and Luke. The ride there we played would you rather? When we arrived the four of us pilled out of the truck and into the resteraunt, leaving Ben and Jack to go off on their own for the night. 

"Table for 4 please. Booth.", Luke informed the hostess.
