4: Airport

I spent that night pretty much the same way Bella did when she found out our mom had cancer, all except it ending in me crying. I don't get it.. Did she not mean enough to me? I sure as hell don't think that she didn't. She was gone, so in return, a part of me was gone. I stared at the ceiling feeling empty inside, thinking about what was going to change in our lives from this moment on. To cheer myself up, I cuddled with one of my pillows and popped in one of my favorite movies, 50 first dates.

Bella and I had to leave for the airport in the morning, so I started packing. It was such a hassle to fit almost everything in a couple suitcases. Packing made me realize just how much I was leaving behind. I just knew life was gonna suck when school started in Forks.

(it's early August so Alex had just turned 15 a few months ago but Bella is still 16 atm)

Obviously, we had Phil to take care of us but both me and Bella weren't exactly very fond of him. We liked Phil, but we didn't like Phil, you know? Besides, we needed an excuse to see dear old dad anyway. The last time I was in forks, I was about 6 years old, so it was definitely time to visit. Phil was always nice to all of us, but it was just never the same. The more time mom had spent with him, the less we got to see Charlie. It's like mom had just forgotten about him, about our family. She never shoved us aside, but she focused a bit more on her love life than she did with us. Honestly, I'm glad she was happy, but I feel like we were the worst kids, I mean we didn't see Charlie for nine years. Granted, we couldn't visit him without mom, but we never even asked to go either..

We could have lived with Phil but it was time to see our dad.

This is the year we all reconnect.

----------------------- At the airport ----------------------

"ugh I'm so bored in this airport" I groan.

"Dude same, when is this plane going to booardd" Bella yells out.

"Hahah chill Bells."

"I don't know about you, but I'm just gonna listen to some music"

"Yeah you're right, I'll probably just watch That 70s Show or something." Bella says.

I nod in response and stick my headphones in. Then, I play my favorite playlist and lay down on my seat.

I get lost in the music, and I fall asleep but suddenly, Bella is shaking me awake.

"Alex wake up you idiot!"

"Crap I'm sorry, I fell asleep"

"Well no shit, lets go! We're gonna miss the plane!"

I get up, stumble, and fall while trying to grab my carry-on, and Bella bursts out laughing.

"HAHA I thought I was supposed to be the clumsy one."

"Shut up." I say chuckling.
