Mae: Hi, it's been a few days since Abby and Newt saved me. We buried Craig on the beach. Every time he would talk about before the start of all of this, he would tell us how much he loved going to the beach, and how the ocean mesmerized him. The few days we spent here, he could look at the sea for hours. Now, he'll do it for eternity.

Abby and Newt are really cold to each other, I don't know why.

Anyway Newt found a map in Evan's pocket, where multiple camps are marked. The biggest one is in town and the others are away from the city. I still don't know why they killed Michelle. But we have another problem, we don't know how many of them there are in the big camp. Nor if they can communicate to each other.

We will attack a smaller one to try and find information, but first I have to get better.

Next day

Mae: Hi, I have to tell you about what happened yesterday.

Flashback (POV Mae)

Abby: Hey, how are you?

Mae: Better. What's up with you and Newt?

Abby: We broke up.

Mae: Really? But I thought you said you loved him.

Abby: Yeah. Well, after you got kidnapped, Newt changed. We would fight every day because he didn't like how worried I was for you. Then one day when we fought, I told him that I was in love with both of them. He didn't like it so we broke up.

Mae: Oh.

Abby: Yes. And when I saw you on that stake, I realized that life's too short to focus on someone that doesn't understand or even care about me. And that instead I should focus on a better person, on someone that really loves me. And someone that makes me fall in love more everyday. And that is you.

I kissed her and I couldn't be happier.

Mae: So... Would you be my girlfriend?

Abby: Hum... Let me think... Just kidding, of course I will.

End of flashback

Mae: Anyway, now that I'm in better shape, we'll go find that camp.

Later in the afternoon (POV Mae)

We're on our way to the camp. Newt is walking far ahead of us.

Abby: So, do you like kids?

Mae: Yeah. I mean, I do want kids one day. But I think it won't be possible since none of us have male parts.

She laughed.

Abby: Okay.

We continue walking to the camp, talking and laughing.

Later

We're finally there. The camp is smaller than the one we were in, and it seems that there are less soldiers in this one too.

Newt: So what's the plan?

Mae: You see the big house there? If it's the same organization as the other, it's the house of their leader. I think that what we are looking for might be in there.

Abby: I think we should try to enter that house discreetly and try to find information. Even if they're not a lot, we try to save munitions.

Mae: I think it's a great plan.

Abby: Then let's go, sweetie.

Newt: You are going to make me puke.

We come closer to the house.

Newt: There's an open window there.

We enter the house, there's nobody. We start searching through the house when we hear voices.

Abby: I think there are two people in here.

She points to a door. We get inside discreetly and catch them by their throat with hands on their mouth so they won't make any sound.

Abby: We attach them to the chairs, then Newt, you go watch if there's anyone coming in.

We do what Abby said. Now there are only Abby and I with the two hostages in the room.

Man: Who are you?

Abby: You're new enemies.

Mae: Remember how you killed our people on a farm in Warwick?

Woman: Fuck, Michelle's new friends.

Mae: So you do know why were here.

Woman: What do you want?

I get closer to her. Face to face. She tries to give me a headbutt but I avoid it, and Abby grabs her throat and pushes her back in her seat. Then she put her gun on her temple.

Abby: Don't ever try to hurt my girl again.

Mae: Revenge, that's what we're here for. To take revenge.

They laugh. Abby and I look at each other confused. I get closer to her and whisper.

Mae: Was it me that seemed ridiculous or do they have a screw loose? Because I even trained so it would sound cool.

Abby: No, I think they might... Wait... You've trained?

Mae: Great, now even you are making fun of me. Hey, why are laughing weirdos?

Man: You don't even know that girl.

Abby: What do you mean?

Woman: Do you know why we killed her?

Mae: No.

Abby: Tell us.

Woman: She's a traitor. Her brother, Sean, deserted a big mission. Because of him at least ten of our soldiers died. Our leader was going to punish him for what he did. And your friend killed him and his guards. Then they left. So we had to take revenge.

Man: Now if you leave, we'll leave you alone.

Mae: No, maybe Michelle deserved what happened to her. But our people didn't.

Abby: Now you're going to tell us what we want to know.

Mae: Who decided to attack our people?

Woman: We won't tell you anything.

Abby takes a baseball bat and hits her with it. She lost consciousness.

Man: His name's Michael. He's not in here, he's in the biggest camp.

Mae: How many soldiers and guards are there?

Man: I don't know exactly.

Abby raises her baseball bat, so she will hit him too.

Mae: She's pretty good at baseball, I think it'll hurt a lot. Probably kill you even, ain't that right Abby?

Abby: I'm not sure, let's find out.

He still doesn't want to talk.

Mae: She hasn't played baseball in a long time. Have fun, baby.

I get back and kiss her cheek. She raised the baseball even more.

Man: Okay, okay. Probably one hundred or more. But in three days they will almost all leave the town to go to San Diego, because they heard the people there want to attack them. So only Michael and his best soldiers will be there. They will probably be only ten or fifteen.

Abby: See, you knew a lot of information. Thanks.

Then she hit him so he won't alert anyone. We leave the camp, to go back to ours.
