NORMALLY, WHEN YOU catch your boyfriend cheating on you, you either dump him and yell, or cry a river and confront him. Verity Clemence did none of this. I mean, really, would you catch a kind, loyal, hardworking Hufflepuff going through that process? I don't think so. She simply skipped all of that. After walking in on her abusive, rude, body-shaming boyfriend, now ex, by the way, cheat on her, when she'd been all that a Hufflepuff should be, or anyone, for that matter, Verity'd had enough. Even so, it was obviously uncalled for when she supposedly - "accidentally" - killed him. Literally.

All Verity's gotta do now is hide the body, and make it look like an accident. This probably goes against everything, considering her name actually means truth. Not even kidding. Regardless - it wasn't her fault - he was being intolerable, duh!

── okay so verity is such a hufflepuff. and like she is so hufflepuff, that it'll scare you lmao

── basically her personality = lara jean but a little more innocent

── harry catches her sobbing over a dead body and she sort of pours it out to him (she has no idea what to do, keep that in mind) and he's sort of scared, but harry james potter is the most kind. person. ever. (also the most awkward person ever) so he helps her and (later on) teases her about the uh "literally-killing-her-boyfriend-kind-of-mistake" thing. and when he joked about it in front of ron once, verity was like IT'S AN INSIDE JOKE and she was laughing nervously and everything lol but that should def be canon

── this CANNOT be post war. if this was post war, harry would not be okay with this after everything he went through. BUT - if you want a crap ton of drama and a really long slow burn, then go for it lol i'd totally enjoy it either way

──  all the marauders, regulus, lily, marlene, mary, dorcas, frank, alice, etc are alive !

── also nobody, not even the rest of the golden trio, knows about the "accidental" murder but harry and verity herself

── you can choose where this story goes, but the last line in the epilogue or something should be "good thing harry was tolerable - who knows where this would've went if he wasn't." (or it can be something funny, heart warming, or referenced - along those lines)

── also you can choose their age, but my preference would be 17 (seventh year)
