Third pov
Barbara leaves the house to go back to work. As she leaves Toby, Jim, and (y/n) watch her car to make sure it's gone. Aarrrgghh accidentally starts knocking and trying to pick them up which results in more items being knocked over.
"Your cave too small." He complains as the trio starts picking up all the items.
Blinky approaches (y/n) who is picking books up off the floor. "So Master (y/n), are you ready? We should begin your training, immediately!" He says eagerly.
"Uh, it's a school night." (y/n) says.
"I assure you the relevance escapes me." Blinky says confused.
"I'm fifteen. I have to stay home and study, and stuff- do homework. I can't be out y'know, Trollhunting." (y/n) says defensively.
"Because...?" Blinky questions.
"Well the whole getting killed by a vicious troll named Bular might be a deal breaker!" (y/n) says frustratedly getting up of the floor.
"Guys," Toby says excitedly pointing at Aarrrgghh, "He eats VHS's!"
Blinky turns his attention back to (y/n), "Deal breaker?" he questions.
"I don't want to die!" (y/n) yells.
"Goodness gracious, who does!" Blinky says amusedly.
(y/n) takes out the amulet and looks at it regretfully before trying to give it to Blinky. "Maybe you should take this back."
"The amulet called to you, Master (y/n). It chose you. It is your-" Blinky starts but (y/n) cuts him off.
"Please don't say destiny."
"_Sacred obligation!" Blinky changes.
"Or that." (y/n) says face-palming.
"You cannot refuse it, you cannot give it back. It is yours until you die." Blinky explains.
"And I would like to get a little further past puberty before that happens!" (y/n) yelled shoving the amulet into Blinky's hands, who pushes it back to her.
"Master (y/n), you are now responsible for the protection of two worlds, the human and troll alike. If you do not keep the balance, evil trolls like Bular will come into yours and wreak havoc!" Blinky explains.
"You're saying this Bular could hurt people?" (y/n) asks.
"Like you." Aarrrgghh points at her.
"Not helping!" Blinky scolds Aarrrgghh.
"What's he talking about?" (y/n) asks.
"With the amulet now in your possession Bular will seek you out, and you will face him now way or another." Blinky says.
"Maybe what (y/n) needs is a little time to process all of this Y'know, you laid a lot of heavy stuff on her tonight." Toby says.
"Fine, fine. We shall return tomorrow then, to begin your training!" Blinky says.
As Blinky and Aarrrgghh get ready to leave Toby brings Aarrrgghh some VHS.
"For the road" Toby says and starts feed them to Aarrrgghh while Jim watches in amusement.
Blinky turns back to (y/n) who was leaning against the door frame starting at the amulet.
"Master (y/n), it I may... destiny is a gift. Some go their entire lives living existences in quiet desperation, never learning the truth that what feels as though a burden pushing down upon our shoulders is actually a sense of purpose that lifts us to greater heights! Never forgot that fear is but the precursor to valor. That to strive and triumph in the face of fear, is what it means to be a hero. Don't think Master (y/n)... become! Would you at least consider?"
