Chapter 1Amanda's POV
I am woken by my servant Tasha lightly waking me up. Tasha has more patience than the other servants so thats why she wakes me up in the mornings. I like to sleep in. I hate waking up early, it's the worst. I toss and turn a little bit until Tasha says something that makes me shoot straight out of bed.
"Miss, your late for breakfast." she says in her silky soft voice. My eyes widen and I sit right up. Thankful for having her as a friend and a servant I put my hand on her shoulder and nod. I get out of bed and get ready. I sigh as I see a damn corset. I freakin hate those things. Tasha comes over and helps me tighten it around my torso and picks out the most beautiful light pink dress ever. It has a sweetheart neck line and has long sleeves that stop at my wrist and the skirt of the dress is long and stops at the end of my feet. Tasha smiles and retrieves my shoes from my closet. She brings me my favorite shoes. My white heels. I put them on and thank Tasha for helping me. I rush down stairs with my book still in my hand and the other on the railing. As I make it there I push the door open with both my hands to see no one there, but there is a note.
Dear Mandy,
Daddy and Mommy had to leave for some royal business for the day. We are sorry we couldn't share breakfast with you. Your brother will be gone practicing fencing, your sister will be visiting her friends, Elsa and Anna of Arendell, don't worry she tell them that you said hi. The library is all yours sweetie so read your heart out.
We Love you very much,
Mom and Dad
Great, mom and dad are gone for the day and I'm left alone. They know I hate that. Well at least I have the library to myself and the whole castle. Sigh. I sit down and eat my breakfast alone. After that i decide to go into town and see the people and the younger children. I put on my cloak, and head outside. As I step outside I am greeted by the warm sun and blue sky. Fairland is a great place to live everybody is so nice...well sometimes.
As I'm walking around I begin to feel unease as I walk past the boardwalk and I notice a ship. I stop and stare at it for a while until I hear yelling.
"Calum get off of me!" the voice says. He has an accent but I can't tell what accent it is. As I hear angry foot steps I run, but before I do I feel as if I'm being watched so I turn my head in the way of a ship and see a man wearing a red bandana looking at me. Scared I turn my head away and run to town.
"Princess!" I stop and groan. I recognize that voice from anywhere. It's no other than cocky Pirate Hawthorne himself. I turn around and face him.
"What do you want you scum?" I ask him keeping my voice low.
"Oh I came to see how my little flower was doing." He pinches my cheek.
"I am not your flower." I slap his hand away.
"Aw, Mandy don't be like that" he says.
I roll my eyes and start to walk away from him.
"Mandy, come back here we aren't done here."
"Oh yes we are," I say "by the way stop trying to get me to be your girl because I never will be." I walk away from him and he just stands there dumbfounded that yet another girl has rejected him. Roaming around town would was a lot more hectic than I thought it would be. Once Im back safely in the castle I find our library, and may I just say it is huge, and I love it so much. There are so many books I don't know where to begin at all, but I find myself in the fantasy section grabbing for a book about knight and dragons.
I take it up to my sleeping chambers and sit on my bed and read. I sit on a little seated section I have by my windows. I peacefully enjoy my book until the glass crashes and I am blacked out.
