Chapter 12- Red Dress

"WHAT?! 16,342 FOR THE DRESS AND SHOES?!" I screamed looking at the receipt in the car,Chanyeol winced in pain and held his hands over his ears.

"Why didn't you tell me it was this expensive!?"

"Maybe because you would react this way? And it isn't even that expensive."

"Isn't even that expensive?!" My eyebrows raised as I mocked him.

"I'm not going to buy a cheap dress for you,other people at the party will be wearing expensive dresses and showing off too.There are also reporters that will be taking pictures." Chanyeol closed his eyes leaning back comfortably.

"This isn't even half the price people are paying for their dresses."

I can't believe that he would buy the shoes and dress that was that expensive for me."I'll pay you back." I said looking at the receipt.

-Park Chanyeol's POV-

I rested my eyes and remembered what Jung Hwa had said when she was with her mother,the door was slightly opened enough that I could hear everything.I know I should've closed it and mind my own business but she was talking about a guy.I couldn't help it but listen to her talk about Jongin.I don't think she was lying.

Jung Hwa likes Jongin,how did I not know? When she received those roses from him,she looked so happy and she had that shine in her eyes.I feel like I don't have a chance to be with her anymore.I don't want to confess to her,not any time soon but probably never.If she truly loves Jongin then I will give up,there isn't anything else I could do for her.

I've became friends with her,that's more then enough I wanted.I've seen her smile in front of me,she looked so beautiful in that dress.She looked like a princess and me standing beside her,somehow I felt like I shouldn't be there beside her.Maybe it isn't fate to be with Jung Hwa,she's the first girl I've ever fallen in love with.

Just because she's my first doesn't mean she will be my last,it made me upset when she had said that she had feelings for Jongin.My fists tightened,Jung Hwa even admitted that she doesn't even know him that much.I feel like something is wrong,I don't think Jongin is the right guy for her.It might be my jealously but I still care about Jung Hwa.If he really is the right guy for her and he really cares about her then I will give up on Jung Hwa.

I snapped out of my thoughts and listened to Jung Hwa rambling."Your not paying me back." I made it clear.

"You paid for my mothers expensive surgery,you paid for my surgery to get stitches and removed the glass from my back.You got me a phone and now this?"

"What have I done this whole time? Nothing."

"It doesn't matter to me,all of this didn't even cost much." I said.

"But---"

"You signed the contract,all you have to do is listen to me and I say you don't have to pay back anything.So you don't."

"I know it doesn't feel right to you but the amount of money you owe me till this day is a lot,I'm rich so it isn't that much to me.I was born in a rich family,what do you expect?"

"Are you...bragging?" She looked at me in a way that I couldn't explain.

"No,I'm not.I'm just stating the obvious." I hope she doesn't take it the wrong way.

"Fine...I'll just follow the contract." Jung Hwa sat back and glared out the window.

"Anyways,when's the 7th anniversary?" She asked.

"It's Saturday."

"What? That's tomorrow!"

"Yeah,it is."
