"Oh! I just felt my son!" Holly smiled, looking up to the ceiling. "He feels so close! What a special moment! Jotaro must be thinking about me in school! Right, Papa?" She asked her father as he tended to her wounds.
"Yes, my d-"
"I'm not." Jotaro blurted, walking into the tea room.
Holly gasped as she jumped a little. "Don't do that to me! Jotaro, what about school?""The old man wanted me to come home because you were injured. And it seems like you brought along someone else." Jotaro's eyes narrowed as he looked at the unconscious boy on the ground. "Glad you're okay."
"Hey..." Holly pushed away Joseph's hand and looked more closely at her son. "You look pale, dear. Are you all right?" She asked, her eyes softening.
"Y.. yea. I'm okay." Jotaro smiled slightly at her. "What's more important is your injuries, mom. How could you be so reckless?"
She just giggled. "Thank you for caring about me!" She gave him a peace sign and just smiled.
"Tch." He rolled his eyes and sat next to her. "Old man, what's with the guy?""It's no good." Joseph crawled over to Kakyoin. "We concluded earlier, but now that you're here, we'll... I didn't want to worry your mother... but...It's too late. We can't save him. He'll die in a few days."
Holly gasped, covering her mouth with her hands. "Did... did I kill him?" Her voice wavered."No! Nothing like that, dear." Joseph waved his hands dismissively. "It's not your fault. Would you like to know why this boy would obey DIO, even to kill? Let me show you!" Joseph moved back kakyoin's bangs and showed the parasite to them.
"W—what is that?" Holly gasped, looking away from him."That meat is of DIO... a bud, a sprout of his flesh in the boy's brain," Avdol spoke up. "The cells of DIO live in him... poking through the very core of the poor boy's brain. This modest-sized flesh bud exerts power over his entire psyche."
"In other words..." Joseph started, "It stirs him... awakens certain feeling far behind his own control! Awe! Charisma! Appeal! The sheer emotive power that drives a man to follow Hitler, put his faith in a corrupt cult, or swear his loyalty to Dio. Once his control was in place, it was simple for Dio to order this boy to kill us."
"Take it out then," Jotaro ordered.
"The bud would rebel, thrash around in the brain," Joseph shook his head, "it'll leave him worse than death."
"Ms. Holly..." Avdol said with a deadly serious tone in his voice, "Let me tell you... what happened to me four months ago. I was in Egypt... In Cairo...When I met Dio!" Avdol proceeded to tell her how Dio had found him and how he ran away in fear of what would happen to him. "I, too... like this boy... would be Dio's willing pawn, and my stand, as well... at the beck and call of Dio."
"....and, like the boy, you'd have died in a few years, your brain eaten," Joseph told his friend.
"Died?" Holly gasped. "I won't have that! I'll have my stand pull it out!" Holly summoned her stand and leaned over Kakyoin, her hands cupping his cheeks as her stand's giant hand reached for the parasite.
Everyone gasped in horror. "Holly!" "Mom!"
"Please stand back, everyone. My stand is very fast, so it won't do damage to this young man!" Her stand picked at it between its index and thumb.
"But that thing is alive, don't you see?!" Joseph yelled. "Even a skilled surgeon cant remove it! Don't be stupid! There's a reason why part of it is outside the skin!" As he said that, the bud's tentacle pierced her small hand.
"It's gone into your arm!" Avdol cried. "This is bad! Let go of it, Holly!"
"It can infiltrate anyone's brain who dares try to remove it!" Joseph yelled.
"Damn, it..." Holly gasped as the tentacle slithered its way underneath her flesh. Then the boy underneath her opened his eyes with a start. He stared up at her, confusion and fear engulfing his face. "Don't move, honey," Holly groaned, squinting her eye in pain as the tentacle made its way into her cheek. "One mistake and you'll be severely injured."
"Let go now, Holly! It's reached your face!" Avdol suddenly tried to run to Holly's aid, but Joseph held out his arm and stopped him briefly.
"Old man!" Jotaro barked, standing up from where he was sitting. "She's going to die!"
"Hold on, you two!" Joseph said. "What a daughter I have! Her body is under siege, yet she's calm as can be... and her moves are more accurate than a machine!" As he talked, Holly was sweating in complete focus, her green eyes focused as her stand nearly had the bud out of the boy's skull. "Her stand- its hand isn't shaking one bit!"
As he said that, Holly completely ripped it out. "She did it!" Avdol gasped.
Holly's stand ripped it in half by its tentacles and her father used his special ability, screaming "Ripple Overdrive!" The warm electricity that came from Joseph's hand surrounded the bud and disintegrated it.
Holly fell back and leaned on her arms, gasping as it was just ripped from her own body as well. Jotaro came to her aid as Kakyoin sat up, holding his head and he looked at the exhausted woman. "Wha-? Why did you risk your own life... to save me?" he asked.
"I... I didn't want to see a young man die at the hand of an evil man." Holly shot him a smile. "Jotaro honey, can you bring me a towel, I'm drenched." She laughed.
"Don't EVER... do that again." Jotaro snarled as he got up, giving Kakyoin a nasty look.
"You're too sweet, sweety!" She smiled. "...and bring an extra first aid kit for our new friend here."
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." He sighed.
