Part 9: "caught"

|Peter's POV|

When I woke up it was around seven thirty in the evening. I realized where I was and who was in my arms. Camille. I loosened my grip on her. She was still asleep with my shirt on, her hand placed on my chest and our legs tangled together. I looked over at the clock and noticed it was around eight-thirty.

I moved my head around to kiss her forehead. Then rest my chin back on her forehead. I take my hand and run it through her hair. After a while I feel her start to rub her thumb on my chest.

After a while of us just setting in silence she look up at me with a smile. I lean my head down and kiss her and she quickly kisses back.

I can't help but smile into the kiss. I don't know what's gotten into me recently but Laura and Cora asked me why I've been acting wired. I'm not disagreeing I have been. Ever sense I met Camille I've been happier than ever. I blushed! Peter Hale does not blush. I've had the need to always be around her and the simplest touch from her gives me comfort. When we kiss it feels like electricity is running through my veins. I feel the need to protect her all the time even when she not in danger.

"Good morning sleepy head" I say after we pull away.

"Good morning" she says with a smile. We lay there for a while until she speaks up again "I don't know about you but I could stay like this for the rest of the day but I have to tell you something I learned from my mom earlier."

She sets up and looks at me. I set up after her. She look worried. I place my hand on top of hers.

She sighs "well I've been having this wired pull in my chest and I told my mom about it 'cause it's just been happening recently" she starts my eyes widen.

I raise my eyebrows at her "you've been having that pull in your chest to?"

"Yeah well my mom told me what's happening to me and it just so happens to involve you" she whispers knowing I can hear her. "She told me it's very rare. They way she described it was like one in a million" i furrow my eyebrows still confused on what she talking about "that pull in our chest is our wolf trying to pull us closer to someone" she continues. "That feel that you need to be around them, they can give you so much comfort with just one touch, you just feel safe with them-."

My jaw drops as I realize what she's talking about my eyes widen and I squeeze her hand. I cut her off with raised eyebrows "we're mates?"

"Yeah" she breathes out it's clear she's anxious. She waiting to see how I react.

I just send her a smile and lean forward and kiss her. I can feel her smile into the kiss as do I. We pull apart for air and we rest our foreheads together.

"How'd you know that's what I was talking about" she interrogates.

I sigh as I take my head away from hers. She frowns at the action "well my sister had a mate but their bond broke. She told me what the signs of it were but I really didn't put the pieces together until you mentioned it."

She lays her head in my shoulder like she did earlier today "how do you feel about it" she questions.

"I say it's probably the best thing that could have happened. What about you how do you feel" I ask her as I wrap my arm around her waist pulling her into my side.

"I feel like fate couldn't have gave me a better person to be with. In the few months I've know You you've been amazing" she tells me as she leans up and pecks my lips. She lifts her up of my shoulder and lays down as I send her a small smile "now I'm going back to bed I'm tired."

I smirk at her words "I wonder why."

She smacks the back of my head earning and "ow" from me "will you lay with until I fall asleep." She asks me. She gives me puppy dog eyes not that she has to I would have done it anyway.

I lay back down beside her and open my arms for her. She moves her head on my chest and I wrap my arms around around her and play with her hair.

Her heartbeat nearly steady out but then the door nod starts to turn. I guess she heard it cause she jumped up into a sitting position her head snapped towards the door.

Once the door opened it revealed both of Cami's sisters.

Their jaw dropped when they saw the scene before them then they squealed "I knew it" Aurora claimed "you owe me twenty dollars Kara!"

Cami's eyes widen "you betted on us?" She exclaims "and be quiet! What time is it anyway?"

"It's almost nine-thirty" Kara states as she opens her wallet and hands Aurora twenty dollars.

She picks up a pillow and hits me with it I gasp and grasp my arm faking hurt "it's almost nine-thirty and you didn't tell me!"

I raise my hands in defense "you told me you was tired" I tell her.

I hear Aurora and Kara laughing at us. Cami turns around and glares at them and they shut up.

"Rein check" Aurora questions Camille.

She nods and closes the door as she walks out.

Cami lays back down and sighs. I lay down beside her and she puts her head back on my chest.

I lay with her until she falls asleep but I have to leave cause Talia needs me home.
