Part 10: "how didnt we hear it"

|Camille's POV|

This morning I woke up and I was alone which meant Peter went home. It's a school day so I got dressed and went down stairs for breakfast mom and dad looked worried and happy at the same time which is confusing. Through breakfast they kept glancing at each other not going unnoticed by me and my sisters.

I drove us to school and once I got out Laura was right beside me.

She grins at me and I raise my eyebrows in response "I heard you kissed my uncle."

Kara and Rory come up beside us "it was a lot more than kiss!" They state simultaneously.

Heat immediately rushes to my face and Laura jumps up with her hands together and squeals getting wired looks from the people around us.

Aurora turns to Laur "trust me we walked in on the laying in bed! That made me twenty dollars richer!"

"Oh my god that where he was all day yesterday wasn't it" Laura questions.

I raise my hands "don't ask me" I state. I see Peter laughing in the distance. My eyes widen at him "help me" I mouth to him.

"I can't" he whispers knowing I'm listening.

I look at my wrist and pretend there's a watch "oh look at the time I gotta go!"

I speed walk away from them toward's Peter hearing him and the girls I just left behind me laughing.

We I reach him I smack his shoulder "you seriously couldn't help me" I whisper-yell waving my arms around. He's still laughing at me while I mutter a quick "rude."

As I'm walking beside him I notice he moves his hand toward's mine and laces our fingers together. I don't mind and squeeze his hand.

I hear Laura whistle in the distance when she notices our hands. I roll my eyes at her as me and Peter walk into the school.

At lunch I set with Laura and my sisters Peter sets beside me soon after. Me being in a conversation with Aurora while Kara Peter and Laura were in their own.

"I wonder what wrong with mom and dad they're acting strange" I state my concerns.

Rory furrows her eyebrows remembering their behavior from this morning "yeah it's kinda like when before they told us mom was pregnant with Kara" she states.

I scrunch my face in confusion "I'm just confused" I state "they literally always tell me everything and now I know nothing."

After I say that I'm guessing Peter heard me cause he takes my hand in his and squeezes it. I look over at him and send him a smile.

After school I drive us home and we chill out in my room until our parents call us down.

Once we're down stairs they tell us to set on the couch.

"Okay girl me and your dad have some big news to tell you" our mother tells us.

I raise my eyebrows at them until mom start speaking again "I'm pregnant!"

Our eyes widen "is that why y'all were acting wired at breakfast" Kara questions.

Mom nods "I'm a few weeks along so we don't know the gender yet!"

I smile as I look down at her stomach and back to her then back at her stomach. I close my eyes and listen close. I hear the heart beat of my new sibling. I smile "how didn't we hear it before" I ask.

Kara and Aurora look at me confused "hear what" they ask in union.

"It's heart beat" I answer as I set up and place a hand on moms stomach.

After loads of hugs and everyone listening to the baby's heart beat I go upstairs and lay down.

I get lost in thought. This has to be it. The first born son becomes the alpha. This is why I won't be alpha. I don't really wanna be alpha anyway.

I get so lost in thought I do realize a certain werewolf climbing through my window.

"Cami" I hear him say but I jump up not knowing anyone's in my room.

When I turn around I see Peter and put my hand over my chest "oh my god you scared me half to death" I state.

"You didn't hear me climb through your window" he asks as he sets down next to me and puts his hand on my ankle tracing circles with his thumb.

I sigh "no but to be fair I have a lot on my mind" I state as I open my arms. "Lay with me?"

He nods and lays his head on my chest and I run my fingers through his hair and lean my head down and kiss his head.

"So remember when I said I probably won't be alpha" I ask and he nods "well my moms pregnant and I'm betting it's a boy."

He looks up at me "how are you so sure you won't be alpha?"

I sigh "I'm usually right about this kind of stuff. It's kind of like I know it deep down."

He leans up and kisses me "go to sleep I'll stay with you until you fall asleep."

I kiss him again "will you stay all night" I ask him.

He nods "yeah I'll stay with you all night."

And with that we both drift off into sleep with each others company. Not thinking about the undisclosed relationship between the two.
