Diluc, Traveler, and Paimon had come face to face with an Abyss Mage to find out about their plan of attack. Poor and defenseless, the cryo creature stood in front of the three. Diluc, tall and intimidating, looked down at him.
He had no other choice but to speak.
"I see you received our letter... But if you think I'm going to let you in on our secrets, I'm afraid you're quite mistaken." He said, avoiding eye contact.
Traveler looked at Diluc who closed his eyes and sighed. "Hmph, you appear to have misunderstood the situation you are in." He explained.
Traveler looked at the Abyss Mage and then back at Diluc, "Burn him with Searing Hand!" they yelled.
"D-Did you just use a Pyro Vision to shoot f-fire from your hands!?" The Abyss Mage saw the flame form from Dilucs hand. Before the mage had time to react any further, fire formed from below him and burned him. "Aah! It burns!"
The three stared at him in pain, how embarrassing. "Let's see how long it takes for you to crack."
"Burn him with Searing Hand again!" Traveler called out again.
Without enough time to brace himself, the Abyss Mage was burned once again by Diluc's power. "Stop! Stop! P-please, the pain- I beg you... make it stop!" He screamed in pain.
"Burn him with Searing Hand again!"
Once again, the mage was hit with another wave of pain when he thought he was done. "Ugh..."
Everything went dark for him.
"Playing dead won't help you- that fire was no where near strong enough to- Oh... He seems to have passed out." Diluc sighed, clearly not caring about anything that was going on. "Hey! You sleep when I say you can sleep!" Angered, he used Searing Hand on the creature one final time.
The creature woke as soon as the pain returned. "Aah! It burns!" He wanted to beg, ask him to show mercy, the pain was almost unbearable at this point. If he got hit one more time, he was sure he wouldn't make it. "Okay, okay. I'll tell you everything, please just make it stop! Make it stop!" He told the plan to the three, satisfied with the information given, they left the Abyss Mage where he was.
The mage paused for a moment, what had just occurred to him? Everything felt like a blur. He had given secrets to the man just because he was in pain, he should've just took one for the team and sacrificed his life for his kind. Dammit! He felt helpless.
"Fuck Diluc..." He thought "Sure he's handsome, intimidating, and powerful but that doesn't give him the right to come threatening us..." But that's when he realized it.
He had feelings for Diluc.
