(13) Distrust

"Move move! I need to see her"! 

Those words were thrown across the halls of the hospital as doctor's and nurses grew frantic about Carter's behavior. He was acted rash and shoved people out of the way trying to get to Susan and Alex. Thankfully one of the doctor's had finally managed to get Carter to calm down a direct him to where his wife and daughter were. When the doctor opened the door crater saw Susan with bangs under her eyes and bandages covers her body. 

"Are you okay"? Crater frantically asked Susan 

"I-I'm fine crater you sure like causing a lot of noise" Susan commented. The doctor left the two alone as Susan explained all of what had happened. 

"It was like some drive by...some on shot form a car and drove off". Susan said. 

"How is Alex is she alright"? Carter asked. 

"The doctors said she was critical damaged by the shots...it was so precise it could of killed her right then and there but thankfully somehow she didn't die". Susan said. 

"It must be that she is a daughter of the so called Primus himself". I'm any case you need rest your exhausted". Carter said. Susan had nodded and fell into deep slumber as Carter stepped out of the hospital. He had wanted to check on Alex but it was said that no one could visit her at this time. Carter then sat in his car and dialed up Lennox who picked up after a few minutes. 

"Hello Carter what can I do for you"? Lennox asked. 

"I'm coming by bring that so called medic out there and everyone else". Carter said. Carter hanged up as Carter sighed and drive to where the nest base was. Eventually after about 2 hours he had made it there and opened the car door, he stepped out and saw all of the autobots with Lenox and Epps waiting for him. 

"We should move this to the conference room". Ironhide said as they all walked there. Once there all the humans had sat down as everyone waited for Carter. 

"You have some explaining to do ratchet what the hell is going on"! Carter raised his voice. 

"I have no idea what you mean Mr Carter I have been in the base most of the day". Ratchet explained. 

"This entire time we hadn't been targeted and now as soon as we stop Alex form seeing you we are?! I thought you respected our choice"! Carter shouted. 

"Whoa whoa whoa before we accuse ratchet of murder let's calm down okay". Epps said. 

"I'm not accusing him of murder she isn't dead at least...not yet". Carter said. 

"Would you mind explaining form the very beginning about what has happened Mr Carter"? Optimus asked. Carter calmed down and explained all of what he known about the situation. Afterwards the room had gotten silent for a little while as everyone took in the information.
