"Oh, Scarlett." I said as I opened the door "Hi, what are you doing here? Come in." I stepped to the side to let her in and just then I noticed a blonde little girl behind her. This must be Rose, her daughter 

"Hey." She went to hug me and give me greeting kiss on the cheek "I am here to pick up Lizzie and to ask you a favor." She said calmly and I nodded, still looking at the shy girl that was hugging her leg "I need someone to take of Rose, the nanny ditched me." She said and I looked up at her 

"And that someone is... me." I said as I pointed to myself and she nodded 

"If it is not a problem, of course." 

I shook my head "Oh, no, it's okay." I assured "I have a free day today." I informed and she nodded with a smile 

"Thank you Y/N, you're a lifesaver." She stated and I waved her off. She bent down to her daughter and she whispered "It's okay Rosie, she's mommy's friend." I smiled at the pair. Rose slowly let her mom go and she looked around my house 

"Oh, hey Scar." I heard my girlfriend from the stairs "I'm ready to go." 

Scarlett smiled "Then let's go girl, I don't want to be late." She said and Liz nodded 

"I'll see you later baby." She said before kissing me 

I smiled "Stay safe." I said and she nodded "I love you!" 

"I love you too!" She shouted from the door and I smiled, still not used to those words coming off her tongue 

I turned my attention back to the little girl "Hello little one, I'm Y/N and your mommy asked me to take care of you today." I waved at her "I hope that's okay with you." I added and she nodded with a shy smile "Have you eaten yet?" I asked and she nodded again "What did you eat?" 

"Mommy made pancakes before coming here." She informed and I nodded 

"Do you want cookies?" I asked "I have lots in the kitchen." 

She smiled widely "I love cookies!" 

"Then let's get cookies." I said and went to pick her up "Can I carry you?" I politely asked and she nodded. I picked her up and I made our way to the kitchen, I sat her on the island and I turned to the cabinets "What cookies would you like? I have normal oreos, vanilla oreos, red velvet oreos," I listed "Wow I have many oreos." I stated and Rose giggled 

"Can I try the red velvet oreos?" She asked and I nodded, taking the box "Thank you." She said taking a cooking from the plastic tray 

"You are welcome." I smiled at her "So, Rose," I took a cookie for myself "How old are you?" 

"I'm 5 years old." She said showing me her five fingers "I'm going to turn six this year." She informed and I nodded 

"Six is a big number." I stated and she nodded "Would you like milk?" I asked 

"Please." She said with a nod and I smiled 

We spent some more time in the kitchen eating lots of cookies and eventually we were more than full "Don't tell your mom about this, okay?" I said and she nodded "Pinky promise." I sticked my pinkie out and she laced our fingers together "I think I'm going to throw up." I said and she laughed "Let's just sit on the couch for a minute and then we can continue our day." 

I picked her up and we sat on the couch. Rosie suggested watching a cartoon and I happily accepted. An hour went by and Rose and I fell asleep, she was cuddled to my side and I had an arm around her, but we were woken up by my phone ringing. I saw Lizzie's name on the screen and I smiled "Hello lover." I said and I looked over at Rose who was shifting in her sleep "Go back to sleep Rosie, it's okay." I cooed
