I found another chapter while going through my docs on one of my emails so, I'm posting it 🤷♀️
"Demi? Are you here?" Melony called out, when no one answered she decided to walk around the corner of the school building.
"Hehe! Little nerd!" A boy said in earshot of Melony.
Melony saw Demi being kicked around by three eighth grade boys. Demi's books were scattered on the ground and Demi was sitting with her back on the building. Demi would come to the orphanage with bruises on her face and occasionally a busted lip, Melony would always ask what was happening but Demi would just dodge the question.
Melony felt heat rise to her face and her heart was pounding with rage. She stomped toward the three boys and Demi.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing!?" Melony yelled to the boys and Demi's eyes went wide.
"Why are you here?" Demi asked, the fear in her voice evident. Demi loves Melony, she's her best friend, she thought of her as a sister and to have her sister come stomping into an ally ready to fight these big eighth grade boys made her feel both grateful and fearful.
"What! You want some too?" A boy in the middle said, he had black hair and bright blue eyes with perfectly tanned skin.
"No! I want you to stop hurting her!" Melony yelled to them.
In response the boy in the middle chuckled followed by the other two.
"Ha, we could break a deal with you." One of the boys with dirty blonde shoulder length hair said.
"Yeah, we could think of something." The boy to the left said, he had smooth brown skin and his hair was in brown curls.
"What's your deal?" Melony asked, the anger in her chest was ready to burst.
"Hey! Greenie, you can go!" The black haired boy said.
Demi picked up her books but didn't leave, she wanted to stay with Melony.
"Go Demi." Melony said sternly.
"But, Mel will you be ok?" Demi asked, her eyebrows were knitted together.
"Just go Demi!" Melony shouted, wanting Demi to hurry up and be out of trouble. Demi hesitated but then left for the orphanage. "So? What's the deal?"
"Well, what else are we supposed to do!." The blonde boy said using his arms to make the sentence more dramatic.
I don't know, try to be nice? It's not that hard... Melony thought, rolling her eyes at the boys.
"Yeah, if we don't have greenie, who else is gonna keep us company?" The brown haired boy asked innocently.
"So here's our deal, we let greenie go, but we get to keep you." The black haired boy suggested with a smirk on his face.
"Fine! But you can only hit me! If you touch Demi I won't hesitate to rip you all limb from limb." Not that I actually could... Melony thought.
"Well whatever, my dads the senator and my moms a lawyer, so even if you could do those things to us, your little orphanage would be toast." The black haired boy said, a smug smile planted on his face. "Anyway, you interrupted us, so we're gonna have to continue on you."

Melony began her walk to the orphanage, she had a large purple bruise on her cheek bone.
"What did they do to you?!" Demi exclaimed when she saw the large purple and red mark on Melony's face, she shot up from her seat on the stone stairs that lead to the orphanage door and quickly ran to Melony.
