A/N- To make it specific, Aquila is eleven, Sirius and James are seven, and Regulus is six years old.

---------------------------------> AQUILA BLACK SMILED. Today was the day she would receive her Hogwarts letter, and to say she was excited was an understatement. Her brothers, Sirius and Regulus were absolutely clueless about this, though.

In all honesty, she too was clueless about why she was so happy to get her entrance letter to a school full of 'mudblood filth', as Mother repeatedly asserted. And her aunt dearest, Druella Black nee Rosier, was fuming again about sending her darling daughters Bellatrix and Andromeda to Hogwarts instead of  Beauxbatons or Durmstrang. Not that Aquila minded. She would go to Hogwarts, whether her aunt liked it or not.

Just then, a beautiful brown barn owl with the Hogwarts crest tapped on the window with its beak. It had a letter clamped in its talons, the Hogwarts entrance letter no doubt. She opened it.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. Of Wizards)

Dear Miss Black

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Students will be required to report to the Chamber of Reception upon arrival. Please find an enclosed list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1st. We expect your owl no sooner than July 31st.

Yours Sincerely
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress

Aquila's smile became, if possible, bigger.

"What's so good?" Sirius asked curiously. "Did Jamie send my weekly package of sweets yet?"

"I'm right here, Siri." James aid exasperatedly. Sirius grinned, pushing his dark curls out of his eyes.

They wouldn't know how exciting it would be to get the entrance letter. Not yet, anyway. Childhood joys. I'm much too old for that, Aquila though superiorly. Regulus just decided to not-so-subtly roll his eyes behind Aquila's back numerous times, preferring to do so rather than speak directly.

"Oops-SORRY!" Sirius squealed when he, in a usual burst of accidental magic, levitated and set fire to the letter. Aquila shot a murderous look at Sirius. He gulped. He knew that look far too well. "Sorry" he mumbled again before running away.

"Good. Itchy little tyke." she said before proceeding to read the rest, just when her father happened to pass by.

"One set of robes only during the cold winter, plain black? No, no. You are getting four sets of robes. Two will be black, while the others shall have emeralds on them. And only an owl, toad or cat allowed? Darling, you know you are a Parslemouth, as well as a Leglimens. How can you keep up with it? You will be taking a snake. Nothing else can do."

"Thank you, daddy, for the polite input. Mudbloods flood Hogwarts, and perhaps a boa constrictor will keep them away"

"Boa constrictor? No, no. You will be getting a cobra. Rattlesnakes and boa constrictors aren't fit for my little princess. Only a King Cobra is."

"Well, I would prefer a boa constrictor"

"Only a cobra is allowed"

"Boa constrictors are as well"

"That's not a option"

"Then I'll make it one"

Orion sighed, defeated, before saying "Well, I have to check my History notes" before quickly going away. Nobody ever won with him. Nobody. Defeat was poison, to him, and he enjoyed torturing his enemies with it. After all, he, Orion Black (Technically, the Lord Orion Black, but he couldn't care for formalities less) ran one of the world's largest law firms, only second to the Marakova's, a Spanish pureblood family. Apparently, Aquila inherited that particular trait.

"Aquila Lyra Black! I will get you back for that!" he heard Sirius shout, before he whispered to Regulus "Hey, wanna prank Aquila with Jamie?'

"Of course! I've gotten water!" Regulus said, like that was the best idea ever.

"No! We need more!" James whispered.

                                                                                    ********************

----------------> LATER, A VERY WET, VERY COLORFUL, VERY ANGRY AQUILA GLARED AT THE TRIO. "I will get you back for this, Sirius Orion Black III, Regulus Arcturus Black, and James Fleamont Potter!"

"It's paint! It's just paint! I swear!" Regulus, who was an escapist in these kind of situations said. Aquila feigned a sigh of pity before picking up the wand she had gotten beforehand.

"You can't use magic outside school!" James yelled.

"James, have you forgotten that daddy removed the Trace the second my letter arrived?" she asked sweetly. James gulped. "But I'll go light on you. Accio Comet 320's"

In short, James was forcefully put on one Comet 320 and flew around the field like he was crazy, Regulus was dangling upside down from another out-of-control broom, while the third repeatedly hit Sirius. It was... fun, to say at the very least.
