Chapter 1 : The Meeting

No POV:

    At about 8pm at night, Kaeya was heading back to his place after spending time at the tavern with Rosaria and Venti. He would have stayed longer, but Diluc was starting to get pissed with the trio. As Kaeya was walking home, he couldn't help but catch a glimpse of someone by the alchemy station. Due to his curious nature, he walked over..

"Mm that don't seem right.. maybe this- no.." Kaeya overheard what seemed to be a smaller guy struggling with something. It wasn't til he drew closer that he got a better look.

"Ah, Albedo! Fancy seeing you here, no?" Kaeya said with ease, always somehow having a way with words, it could draw anybody in.

Albedo almost dropped his tools, unaware that Kaeya had shown up.

"Oh, Kaeya.. it's just you." He said, relaxing a bit.

"Oh? Just me? The way you put it makes it seem you don't want to see me." Kaeya grinned, kneeling down to Albedos height.

Albedo turned to look at Kaeya, and explain that he was just caught off guard, but as soon as he had gone to explain, Kaeyas face was abnormally close to his. Albedos face grew just a bit warm, he wasn't very use to romantic affection, so he never caught on that perhaps he had feelings for the flirtatious calvary captian.

"Apologies, Kaeya, I was caught up in doing new alchemy research." He said, starting to put his tools back up together to keep them from breaking.

"It's no worries. Say, are you leaving?" Kaeya asked with curiosity. Albedo said nothing but just nodded, standing up making sure he had everything he needed. He had to leave soon, otherwise the temperatures in Dragonspine will only increase.

"Sorry, I must get going, I have a long w-" Albedo was cut off by Kaeya lightly tapping his shoulder, not enough to push him but enough to grab his attention.

"Why not stay at my place? It's relatively big, there's a spare room you could borrow for the night if you need. I'm sure it's much better than walking all the way to Dragonspine at this hour," he smiled, "plus, we don't really get to talk much, so I'd like to get to know you better. What do you say, chief alchemist?" Kaeya reached out his hand as if it was a bargaining deal. Albedo pondered for a moment..

Albedo's POV:

'It would save me some time.. and it will be warmer..' I thought to myself. Kaeya isn't a harmful guy, he's actually relatively nice. I suppose maybe one night won't hurt.

"Alright, I accept." I reached my hand out to his, and shook it. Doing this made me realize how soft his hands actually are, despite wielding a sword most the time. I got lost in thought and realized I was holding his hand for a bit too long.

"Ah- sorry. I got lost in thought. Anyways, shall we be going?" I'm glad it was night time and not day. My face felt so warm, it was strange. I wonder what it means..

Kaeya's POV:

After a minute of walking with him, we came to a halt. I turned to him and saw he was staring up at a crystalfly. He looked so peaceful in this moment, as if nothing but him and that singular crystalfly existed. Albedo truly is a remarkable guy, charming..handsome... alot of traits that takes up a lot of time to talk about. 

"Sorry, did I keep you waiting long?" Albedo asked, his eyes shining brightly in the light above us.

"No no, not at all. Let's get a move on, shall we? Were not frozen in place afterall." I winked jokingly, yet he had a suprising reaction.

No POV:

When Kaeya winked at Albedo, the small blonde looked away, knowing his face grew more warm by the minute. He still could not figure out what these feelings were, and why they were so strong when he was around Kaeya.
