After that mini party, and after all Jisoo's friends went home both Yoon Gi and her went to a garden pavilion outside the hotel.
Jisoo was crossing her arms while Yoon Gi was walking back and forth.
"What happened was unbelievable...how could you create such a mistake?" Yoon Gi asked.
"I already told you! My eyes were not that clear..and you should've pushed me away when you had the chance."
"What so now you're blaming me?! We could have gotten the people we were supposed to date!"
"Yoon Gi....do we really have to do this? Sunmi and Bang Chan are already closer.."
"What are you trying to imply? That we should just also start dating?"
"If that would be possible."
"Jisoo....our interests and hobbies do not match! It feels unfair to my part. I loved my conversations with Sunmi."
"So? Does it really matter that our interests and hobbies match?"
"Jisoo...this is my ideal relationship..me and my girl playing video games together, watching anime, reading manga in bed. I'm sure you have an ideal relationship too."
Jisoo never thought that Yoon Gi was very idealistic when it came to relationships.
This time, she realized that if they did date...it would become boring.
They could never do things together.
"I'm sorry about this... Maybe..we should not throw a party for this but instead talk to them..I'll tell Bang Chan tomorrow." Jisoo said before grabbing her purse and slowly walking away.
Yoon Gi looked at her at a distance feeling upset.
Jisoo looked down as she was walking.
I never should've engaged in that matchmaking app in the first place...She thought.
The next morning.....
Yoon Gi stretched out as he just woke up in the morning.
He walked down the grand staircase to eat breakfast.
His house was like palace made of rich stones and gold.
It even had a grand piano underneath and a family portrait on the wall.
"Rise and shine sweetheart...come eat your breakfast now." His mother said as she served a plate with pancakes and scrambled eggs.
His father was already at the table eating.
As soon as he sat up, his father looked at him.
"Yoon Gi..."
"What?"
Then he noticed his father exchanging looks with his mother.
"Your grandmother is going to be here tonight...and she wants to see you bring a girlfriend...."
"Mwo?"
"Your grandmother is old, she wants you to settle with someone. She wants to be assured that the family lineage will continue."
Yoon Gi wanted to face palm himself.
At the moment he suddenly thought of the one person who could help.
Even if it was all a mismatch.
Kim Jisoo
Outside the mall....
Jisoo was waiting near the benches while holding her phone in her hand.
She adjusted her glasses as she looks at every people passing by.
Until, she saw Sunmi and Bang Chan smiling and walking together towards her.
"Jisoo why did you call us here?" Sunmi asked her.
"Well....uh....I-It's about Bang Chan....I-..."
Before Jisoo could finish off, she felt a strong grip on her arm.
To her surprise it was Yoon Gi.
He then pulled her with him.
They stopped by near the automatic glass door and both faced each other.
"What were you thinking?!"Yoon Gi asked her.
"Says someone who compelled me to do such a thing! We're not a match right? Then might as well tell them the truth."
Yoon Gi held her shoulder firmly.
"Did I tell you to tell them right now?! Wait for the right time Jisoo."
"Who are you to tell me that? Besides, you keep ranting how Sunmi was supposedly your date."
Yoon Gi unheld her arm and heaved a sigh.
"Look...right now that's not the major concern....I need you to act like we're dating for good."
"Huh?"
"My grandma is coming to the city....she wants me to bring a girlfriend as she wants me to be married eventually and continue the family lineage."
"Why me? How about Sunmi? Anyways, she was your 'supposed' girlfriend."
"Look...I know that you are still mad on how I kept complaining....I am sorry."
"Good thing you know how to apologize...tell me...where we have to go."
"Come on." Jisoo was surprised as to how Yoon Gi just pulled her by her arm as if he was used to it.
That night.....
Yoon Gi led Jisoo inside his huge house and Jisoo opened her mouth in amazement. The moment they stepped inside, his grandmother was already waiting by the grand staircase.
"Oh..my dear grandson."Yoon Gi's grandmother walked towards him and gave a peck on his cheek.
"Halmeoni...meet Jisoo....my girlfriend."Yoon Gi smiled awkwardly.
"Wow she's beautiful." His grandmother smiled proudly.
"Hello Halmeoni." Jisoo bowed down.
"What are you two doing? You don't look like a couple...come on show some skinship."
Yoon Gi gulped this time, then he slowly wrapped his arm around Jisoo's waist.
Jisoo's eyes widened and she could her the deafening beat of her heart.
