Chapter 5 - Do you still love her?

Time:5 am

Ash completed his daily morning routine and was heading down stairs for breakfast.

He sat on the chair and the breakfast was served.Today delia was not awake on the order of ash.Delia always wakes up early to greet ash Morning befor he leaves but now ash was worried for her.So he strictly ordered delia not to take so much stress.

Ash completed his breakfast and then went to his room to get his laptop.Then he went to meet the twins who were as always sleeping peacefully.While seeing the twins ash thought that their life was going to take a great turn in 2 days.How will it go after his marriage with serena.Will she treat the twins well.After meeting her yesterday ash got to know that she was kind but was is all true or not.The time will only show her true nature.He ended his trail of thoughts and kissed the twins goodbye and went outside to his car and drove to HQ.

Location:Ket Industries HQ , New York
Time:5:45 am

Ash entered the HQ and went to his office.He called his assistant lyra.After sometime she came inside.

"Sir did you called me"lyra asked.

"Yes I did and I want you to send Mr. Xavier to my office as soon as he arrives"ash ordered.

"Sir he has already arrived"lyra informed.

"Ok then send him here in 15 minutes"ash said.

"Ok sir"lyra said.

"You may leave now and please send 2 coffees here"ash ordered.

Lyra nodded and left.After 10 minutes a men came with the coffee's.

After another 5 minutes calem arrived at the door of ash's office.He asked "can I come in"

"Come in"ash answered and calem entered the office.

"Please have a seat"ash said and motioned calem to sit in front of him.

Calem as said sat down and asked "so can go and see the last test on the equipments , sir".

"Yes we can and dont call me sir call me ash but first I have a personal talk to do with you"ash said as he placed his elbows on the arm rest of the chair and clapping his palms and leaning back in the chair.

"Ok so what you wanna talk about ash"calem asked curiously.

Ash motioned calem to take the coffee, so calem did as said and took a sip of it followed by ash doing the same.Then ash said.

"I dont like sugar coating a talk so let's get straight to the point"calem nodded and ash continued "So Do you still love serena?"

Calem was shocked at the sudden question and he was also shocked how ash came to know about it and why is he asking it to him.

Calem maintained his calm composure and said "what will you do if I will say NO and what will you do if I say YES".

Ash answered in a calm tone "If your answer is no then there is no need to do anything and if your answer is yes then I need to take an action"

Calem asked "what action , if I may ask"

"I am not a person who destroy a girls life like this , so I will try to convince my mom and grace not to get me and serena married if your still love her and promise me to take good care of her"ash explained his so called action.

"There is no need to take any action because I dont love her anymore.I respect her decision and am willing to go along the flow and can promise you that there will be no trouble from my side in your married life"calem said with a smile and ash also smiled at his kind and understanding nature but there was one more question in ash's mind.

So ash asked "But wasn't it hard to forget your love for her , after all you have been in a relationship with her for almost 3 years"

"It would have been hard but I knew that she was going to marry someone else.But didnt knew it was you.Grace already warned me about this when I and serena told grace about our relationship.But instead of dumping serena I decide against it and decided to keep her happy until the day she will know about her marriage.I also never took the relationship much further also"calem explaind.

"That makes it clear"ash said.

"But dont break her heart ever and if you do then I will be there and will take her away from you"calem said with a chuckle.

Ash also chuckled and said "dont worry calem , she is in good hands.Now she is my responsibility"ash said as he completed his coffee.

"That's good to hear"calem said as he placed the coffee cup down on the table.

"We will be meeting more often after this not for work but for some friend time"ash said as he stood up and forwarded his hand for a handshake.

Calem expected it and said "Yes we will for sure"

"You go on forward , I will meet you lab in sometime"ash said as calem nodded and walked outside.

After a minute ash also exited his office to find lyra looking at calem walking away with dreamy and loving eyes.

Ash got near her and said in a calm and a tease manner "he is a nice guy".

Lyra still in her trance answered "yes he is and also handsome" after coming out her trance and came to know what she said and turned to see who was behind her 

When she turned behind , she came to see a smirking ash.

Lyra started moving her hands try to say something but no words came out of her mouth.

"Just go and ask him out , he is a nice guy"ash finally said seeing that lyra was speechless.

"I cant do that , he has a girlfriend"lyra said while looking down with sadness.

"That's not a worry now"ash said with a smile.

Listening to ash's words lyra looked up and asked him in confusion "what do you mean"

"Just say that the girl who was his girlfriend , I am going to marry her in 2 days and that's why I called him to come to meet to have a talk"ash explained.

"Really"lyra asked in disbelief.

Ash nodded and said "how about I remove you from the post of my assistant"lyra was devasted on hearing ash words but soon got happy on what ash said further "and employe you as calems assistant , his previous assistant got fired due to trying to flirt with him"

"Do you really mean it?"lyra asked.

"Yes I mean it"ash confirmed.

Suddenly lyra hugged ash and said "thank you ash , your are like a brother I never had.You treated so well.Not like how we see in news how a boss treats his female assistant"

Ash hugged her back and said."its ok sis"

Lyra moved away from the hug with a smile due to ash calling her sis.

"Ok now I need to go to Xavier labs , I will look on transferring you as calem's assistant after I return , till then you can work as my assistant"ash said and walked away with a smile.Happy to find that there is someone who love calem.

Lyra also smiled at ash kindness and love of a brother he has given her.
