Chameleon 2

(Adrien's POV)

This morning I saw that my human ears are gone and now I have real black cat ears above my head. This is bad. There's no way I'm going to school like this. What am I gonna do now? This curse is like an outbreak spreading in my body.

"I can tell the truth but they're gonna freak out. My father will think it's fake." I paced back and forth from the stress again in my bathroom.

"What if we leave town for a while?" Plagg suggested.

"But how, everyone will just ask why," I said.

"So skip school and be Cat Noir to hide," Plagg said.

"I can't just disappear, Plagg. It would make my father furious" I put on my contact lens to hide my feline eyes, "Ladybug will find the solution to cure me. You told me your previous holder went savage and lost his humanity. I'm not gonna end up like him" I said, putting on my hoodie since I'll need to hide my ears.

Suddenly, my cat ears twitched that my father is coming to my room, "He's coming. Hide, Plagg" I said and I quickly put the hood over my cat ears.

"Yes sir." Plagg hides in my hoodie jacket pocket.

My father walks into my room, "Adrien, I'm sorry I wasn't there with you last night. Volpina didn't attack you, did she?"

"No, I just hid in my bathroom. I guess Lila is angry that I didn't choose her to be in my photoshoot yesterday. Maybe that's why she got akumatized" I said, trying to act as human as I can because something is making me wanna attack my father and I don't know why.

"We all know she can't be trusted. I expect you to be aware of everything going around. Now don't be late for school." He said with a serious tone that I hate.

"Okay. I'll get my stuff ready." I grabbed my backpack.

"And what's with the hoodie?" My father asked.

I hesitated but quickly came up with an excuse, "Uh, so that crazy fans don't start chasing me like last time."

"I see. Then be careful if some fans see you." My father shrugs it off.

I sighed in relief, "I will. See ya" I said as I left the mansion.

At school, I came into class on time. Agh! My senses are getting sharp. I smell a very familiar scent in this room. I recognize that scent from Ladybug. Could it be? It's pointing to Marinette coming this way to sit behind me. No way! Could she be Ladybug? My super cat smell is not lying or messing with me.

"Bro, what's with the hoodie? Fashion change?" Nino looking at my black hoodie.

"Uh, just to hide from crazy fans. Remember the photoshoot with Marinette yesterday?" I reminded him.

"Oh okay. Still, you and Marinette did well." Nino showed me the article.

"Wow, we sure looked creepy as vampires." I looked at the article in the magazine.

It was also edited too with our eyes glowing and the background picture of bats and the full moon. That is until Chloe starts being obnoxious with criticizing everything.

"Utterly ridiculous! That magazine cover is so depressing! I could've been in that photo with you Adrikins!" Chloe criticizing it.

I nearly growled like a cat but I just kept myself in control since I got no time arguing with her. She's just like her mom who never shows appreciation.

"Well, I know why I didn't pick you. You're just gonna complain not being your way." I said to her.

"Oh, please. I have great ways." Chloe scoffed.
