[Haikyuu CaptainsxReader] "The Youth"

The crew spent the evening settling in since there was still some daylight to spend. Daichi is recharging the caravan and adding water to it while Bokuto is there to help him, just in case they bump into any problems. Which they did because they didn't have a connector for the water refill. Either way they just solved it by being the personal connector, meaning they hold the hose up to the water tap by hand. And surprisingly it worked, you can probably imagine the excitement in Bokuto's voice when he said 'It's working!'.

Anyways, when Bokuto and Daichi were done with the tasks. They grabbed their clothes, towels and the things they need before heading to the washroom to bathe. Now you must be wondering what the others are doing. Don't worry I'll fill it in for you. If you've read long enough, you already know Oikawa is already spending his time sleeping in the caravan. Y/N came back from the outside and was even thoughtful enough to close the curtains so that he could sleep better in the dark and not get sunburn. She also made sure the AC was cold enough for him. Can't believe a bully like him got to be treated so nicely by her.

"Did you get it?" Ushijima ask Y/N and she just answered his question by holding up the books she went in to get.

"I have tons so pick which one you're interested in reading" Y/N sat on the beach chair beside Ushijima before showing him her collection.

"Hm..." Ushijima hummed softly as he thought on which book to read. He then place his finger on the book titled, 'Strings Attached'.

"Oh you picked one of my favourites. Its a romantic drama genre. I'd recommend reading this carefully since it includes some triggering content in it" Y/N told Ushijima but he just seem clueless.

"Why would anyone write this if they know they'll hurt people with it?" Ushijima ask and Y/N was having trouble thinking of an answer.

"Well sometimes...authors like to write down bad things because it's what gives the story more tension and it'll even educate the readers on some topics" Y/N tried to explain and Ushijima was slowly getting it. He looked at the book in his hand for a quick moment before locking eyes with Y/N again.

"Then can you read it with me?" Ushijima asked, just like how a kid would ask their mother to spend time with them.

"Of course" Y/N said and Ushijima sat a bit closer to her so that they can read the first chapter together.

Now let's not forget one last person. Kuroo. Obviously he didn't felt like sitting still and doing nothing so he decided to go check out the bbq area. After locating the bbq pit. He just stood there for a minute with his arms crossed. Judging by his face, you can tell he's discussing with himself on what to do. Once a minute has passed, he decided to go back to the caravan to get somethings. And by somethings, I mean ingredients he will be using for the barbecue. Guess he's planning on surprising everyone with barbecue meat.

" 'No. I don't agree to this. I'm not gonna file a divorce with you just because you're in love with some other woman!" She shouted at Riku who's standing there, completely unfazed by the outburst of his wife' " Ushijima and Y/N were too busy reading the book in their minds to even notice Kuroo sneaking in and out of the caravan with the bucket full of stuff.

Kuroo returned to the barbecue area and its a surprise how he can be so attractive when doing simple tasks without needing to say a single word. He took out all the sauces from the bucket and began to wash the onions by the sink. Placing the cutting board before using the knife to cut the onions on it. After a while of preparing the ingredients, he finally got to the fun part. He's not exactly an experienced man with this so he decided to test it out by flipping around the sausages on the pit first. Because of that delicious smell, it managed to catch Daichi and Bokuto's interest. Who just finished showering and are drying their hair with the towels.
