So the last chapter (or "Epilogue") of this ZooPhobia continuation is meant to introduce two of my original characters, D'kala N'chaba and Kia Sosoto. Their names were supposed to be placeholders (as they are obvious ripoffs of T'Challa and Nakia from the Marvel Universe), but somewhere along the line I forgot about giving them real names, and now those are their names in all of my stories.
So... whoops.
Anyway, they both come with their own hearty helpings of baggage. D'kala especially will prove to be a somewhat... polarizing character due to both his religious beliefs and frowardness, while Kia struggles with addiction and haunting events from her past.
They—along with the events that follow their arrival—will turn Safe Haven upside-down.
So, in the words of the great Lando Calrissian: "You might wanna... buckle up, baby."
