Maya's POV

I walked in and shut the door behind me "you can have a seat maya, so the reason I've called for you today is to see your work for these year's magazine anything you have is fine" he said to me as I sat down "yes of course I've been working on a new style for the magazine here it is" I said, as I was handing him my book our first fingers touched ever so gently and I pulled my hand quick "ok let's see these" as he scan through the pages I watched him throughly he definitely is a handsome guy but it was for best for us not to go on the date "ya Maya" he called my name and I came out of my trance "yes I'm sorry sir, so was there anything that you see potential first place material" he looked up at me "the 2000s theme is a very great start but I also wanna make our older viewers also feel included in the fashion, how do you suppose we put that in?". I looked at him and "maybe by adding fashion trends before the 2000s, also models of a wide variety of age, and we can also mix and match the fashion trends on the models" he looked at me with a small that made my stomach jump slightly "I can see why your final editor maya, well it's about to be lunch and don't wanna take away your time away, thank for coming and we will have another  meeting on Friday to make a decision on it, and also it might be a bit much but can you create a small presentation for the meeting" I got up from chair "alright no problem sir I'll be ready for that meeting on Friday" "oh and maya please stop calling me sir I hate it really, we are around the same age" I laughed little "alright Noah I'll stop calling you sir" I said to him, "have a great lunch Maya" "you too Noah" I said as a left his office.

Noah's POV

I waited for her shadow to completely disappear from the door and immediately picked up my phone to call Eli "yeah what's up Noah?" " come to my office now" " alright" he answered and then hung up. Like 5 minutes later  the door opened " what's the urgency? You gonna fire me?" I looked at him and told him  "no idiot I just wanted to know if you knew why maya canceled that blind date with me" he sat down with a confused face "why do you want to know that" I thought to myself why do I want to know that  "you never cared about it before why now." " I don't know man I just feel like she owes me an explanation for it" Elijah looked at me with is eyes brows raised and his eyes looking around my face "is your pride that hurt that you feel the need to ask for that....NO WAY YOUR HOOKED ON HER!!.!" He yelled at me "shut up she might hear you, and no I'm not hooked on her I just wanted to  know I was waiting like almost two weeks for this and out of no where it gets canceled and I feel like she owes me an explanation and I know she would want the same thing if she was in my position" he relaxed his face and said "well be a man and ask her, but doing that could increase the awkwardness around you guys or we could ask Alice but I highly doubt she'll spill that tea" "Tea ? What tea" "never mind I'm hanging with Alice too much, what I mean is that I doubt Alice will tell you so best option is to speak to her, but anyways I'm missing lunch for this so bye" he said as he got up and left the office. I don't want to make it more awkward than it already is, I just want to know why. I got up from the chair, left my office and went to go see my dad for lunch maybe he'll help me. I went to the elevator and pressed the 20 I waited for the elevator to head up, the doors open and I walked up to Jenny my dad's secretary "hey Jenny is my dad free for today" "hey sweetie let me just check mmmm yes he has open lunch" I smiled at her "thanks Jen say hi to Franky for me" she laughed "no problem" I walked into dad having a conversation with someone "I think he'll be very pleased to know that, actually I'll tell him right now I have him in front of me. Lets talk later Sebastian alright now bye" he put  his phone down "hey dad I need help with something in the women department" he raised his eyebrows at me "well I had this blind date set up for yesterday but the girl canceled and I just feel I should know why she canceled on me" "well why don't you just ask her be straight forward women like that , and since we are on the topic let me introduce you to someone, do you remember Clara Levine, she's Sebastian Levine's youngest daughter she 26 and beautiful how about it?" I tired to remember the name and then it came to me "do mean that girl that thinks everything and everyone wants her, she is egotistical, and she a huge show off no thanks dad I'm fine" " no she is not like that she is a young woman who has changed in the past she was a different person, so don't judge a book by its cover. Why don't you just go on one date with her and if you don't like it I won't bother you again, how about it?". "Dad, I don't think it's a good idea for me and her to get together. I just honestly don't like her she's just not my type and I don't think I'm her type."  " alright I won't ask you anymore so anyways who's that girl are you talking about? Do I know her? Does she work here?" I felt my face heat up a little when he asked "she's does work but you have 20 floors full of employees highly doubt you'll remember everyone" he chuckled "well like I said woman like straight forward men they don't to  be strung along that's how me and mom have stayed to together all these years because I'm straight forward and tell the truth and others things" "ughhhh ew dad I didn't need that, so the best option is to ask her"  he got up to fix his suit "well let's go I'm hungry for some Chinese food and saw I new place when Carl was driving this morning" I got up quickly and followed him out.
