“I’ll see you soon.” My mom has a determined look in her eyes. “I know this one is gonna work, I’m sure of it.” I roll my eyes.

“That’s what you said about the last ten,” I reply with an exaggerated hand motion. My moms face fell, and I suddenly felt bad. “Maybe this time you’re right mom, maybe this one will work.” The smile returned to her face.

“See you later honey.”

“Bye mom.” I started walking up the hill to where the therapist’s office was supposed to be. Pulling the paper with the address on it out of my pocket, I looked around. “No way.” I muttered to myself. My parents had outdone themselves this time. The therapist I was going to wasn’t just another in house therapist like the rest of them. She worked in a huge building with most likely 30 other different kinds of therapists. Well this was certainly going to be interesting.

I took a deep breath and pressed the intercom button.

“Hello this is the GNR building, how may I help you?”

“Hi, uh, I’m looking for, um…” I panicked, trying to pull the piece of paper out of my pocket, “AstridTomasson” I slurred.

“Excuse me ma’am, could you repeat that?”

“Yeah, sorry, I’m looking for Astrid Tomasson.”

“Come on in.” Well that was one of the most embarrassing experiences of my life, but who cares, I barley have a life anyway.

All that the lady at the front desk did was point, without even looking up, to a door to my left. Number 214, I’ll remember that for next time, if there is one.

“I’ll also remember to try not to sound like a drunk idiot,” I muttered to myself, walking towards the door. I knocked once, if no one opened the door, I had already decided that I was going to leave. But within two seconds of me knocking, Astrid opened the door, and I was shocked by her appearance.

“Hello Jamie, come on in.”
