When I walked out of that office, I had that stupid list under my arm. On it was written five things that I supposedly wanted to do. Honestly, I the second I got outside I was gonna throw it in the trash. I went to push open the door to go outside and wait for my mom. The door was locked. I tried again. Still locked. Then I heard from behind me "It's a pull door, not push." If I had cared at all I would have been embarrassed, but I just pulled and walked out. I expected mom to be here, waiting anxiously to see how it went. But no, maybe she finally decided to give me some space.
I looked around for the nearest trashcan which was two blocks away. It was right beside the stupid library. I sighed and started walking, trying to enjoy the little time that I had without someone breathing down the back of my neck. Everywhere I looked in this place there were about twenty ways that I could kill myself, and at least ten without anybody else noticing. I shivered from the cold and fiddled with my jacket strings, not wanting to look weird by zipping it up. When I finally got to the trash can, I felt like I was frozen through. I pulled the list out of my pocket and was about to throw it in the trash when my mom pulled up in her silver prius. "Shit" I breathed. I couldn't get rid of it now without enduring a multitude of questions that I didn't wanna answer. So I took it with me and got in the car.
"So how was it honey?" My mom had a smile plastered on her face that was so clearly fake, it was funny. I stifled a giggle."It was fine, mom." I replied in a monotone. I didn't want her to get any ideas.
"What's that in your pocket?" Oh here we go, right to the interrogation.
"It's nothing mom. Don't worry about it." I was praying that she wouldn't ask any more questions.
"Alright honey, you want to go get ice cream?" Wow, I guess I got my wish. And just to make sure that there wouldn't be anymore questions I said
"Sure mom."
Hey ya'll! I know that chapter was short, and I know I haven't updated in a while, but I think I have an idea for a new story. So keep an eye out. Like? Comment? Vote? Thanks!!
