Sneaking out

I saw the text from Daniel. What does he want?
I call Jahn before the flight takes off.

"Hello?" I say, waiting for a reply from the other side.

"Rush? You reached?" I hear her ask, I hear some background voice too.
"Who's there,Jahn?" I ask her.

"Oh, no one, it's Daniel. I'll handle him, don't worry. He told me, he texted you wishing you a happy journey. Well, I will tolerate him because of that." She laughs.

Wait. Daniel told her that he wished me a happy journey, but all he did was tell me about Jonah. Snake.

"The flight is going to take off. The flight attendants are requested to prepare for the take off."

"Jahn, they're gonna take off. Take care of yourself, be safe. Come soon, I'll miss you." I tell her, I haven't lived without her for a while, I kinda was getting used to it.

"I will, I will. Be safe, you. Everything is ready there, don't worry. Bye!" She says.

I hangup the call and switch my phone off.

The flight took off. I sat there looking out, high in the sky, yet lonely. I close my eyes and let the memories take over.

FLASHBACK:

"No way are you going to win this time." I laugh.

"We will see about that!" Ana replies, taking the basketball to her side. She kept her focus on the ball.

"Ay!Oh God! Cheating!" Ana whines.

"Loser!" I tease her.

"Not fair, Jahn. You always support her." Ana rolls her eyes.

"Well, she's the youngest, not my fault." Jahn explains.

"Hey! Look up! A shooting star! As per mythology, when a star falls, a soul will go up to God." Ana says.

"What if its me?" Ana laughs and runs away.

"Wait! You!" Jahn and I run after her.
"Stop making jokes of serious stuffs, stupid." I tell her.

"Exactly, Ana. I don't want to see you saying things like that again, understand?" Jahn says.

"Yeah. Damn, I was kidding." She laughs.

"Yeah yeah." We say.

We sit down in the living room. I notice Olivia and Mary coming from the door.

"AYE! Guys perfect timing. We were gonna play something." Ana invites them.

Mary goes and sits beside Ana and they start talking about somethings, mostly random things.
Meanwhile, Olivia goes to the kitchen to see whether there's something to eat or not.

"What should we play?" Ana asks.

Jahn got a call interrupting Ana. I look at Olivia, "Wait Oli ,I'll find you something."I let out a light laugh.

After finding something to eat, we both come back to the living room. Jahn was looking at Ana, Ana nodded her head "no" to Jahn. Jahn looked away. I had no clue what was going on.

"What happened?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Oh nothing serious, work related." Jahn smiles.

"Okay.." I don't question, even though I did not believe her.
