OH Chapter 3

*TIME SKIP; TWO WEEKS LATER*

Cassidy's POV

I walked through the halls of the school earlier than usual because I had to pass an article as an entry for Scroll, the school paper.

Yes, I am that nerdy. A student in the honor roll who writes for the school paper.

I grasped the brown envelope in my hands, containing articles and feature stories inside as I enter the Scroll conference room.

"Cole, damn, Cooole."

The sight that welcomed me definitely surprised me.

Cole Pendery, furiously making out with a girl sitting on his lap.

God, making out at 8 in the morning?

I knew this guy was just playing with Sammi.

"If you guys were to get a room, can you not choose the Scroll's?" I rolled my eyes

I looked at them, and saw him pull away from the girl. He shook his head with a big smirk on his face.

"Ginger, darling, why don't you just text me?" He told the girl.

"Cole, baby, it's Gina." She said, standing up from Cole's lap.

"Just text me alright?" He smirked.

I just stood there awkwardly.

"Okay, baby. I'll see you soon then?" The girl bit her lower lip. "Definitely soon." Cole answered, then kissed the girl.

Yuck.

The girl exited the room and I sat on one of the chairs, more than relieved that no one would suck faces anymore.

"So," Cole suddenly spoke, his eyes deeply staring into mine. "You just interrupted our business right there. Do you need something?"

I rolled my eyes. "I need to eliminate people like you. Sadly, it's illegal to kill." I stood up from my seat. I placed the brown envelope on the editor-in-chief's table.

I turned around, ready to leave befire I find Cole standing less than a foot from me. He placed his hands on the table, pinning me close to hlm.

"Oh so you wanna do something illegal, huh?" He looked to the side, then laughed. He stared at me again, "That's bad. I like bad girls."

"Get away from me, Cole." I tried pushing him away, but considering that he was a guy, he's way too stronger than me.

"Really, Shaffer? You know, you don't have to resist." The smirk was growing wider on his face.

"I'm warning you, Pendery. Stay away from me. And starting today, stay away from Sammi as well." I glared at him amd still tried pushing him away.

"You can't tell me what to do, babe." He stared at my eyes, and started inching closer to my face.

This guy.

I kicked him on the place where it hurts the most, and that sent him on the floor in a fetal position, mouthing every foul word he could say.

"I am serious, Pendery. Get your shit together." After that, I stomped out of the room and went to my first class.

TIME SKIP: LUNCH

I haven't seen Sammi for this day yet. Maybe stuffs are going on again with the council.

I went straight to my locker and placed my things inside it. I took the ones that I'm gonna be needing for my next class.

"She shouldn't be crying like that. She should consider herself lucky for having a relationship with Cole for almost two weeks."
"Yeah. Such a pathetic little bitch. I heard she's not a good kisser after all. Hahaha!"

Two girls passed by me, and stopped about three lockers away.

"Well, that's a shame. He broke up with her in front of almost half of the school's population."
"So much for being the council head..."

Okay. They are really talking about Sammi.

Cole? Breaking up with her? About time.

But in front of so many people? No.

I closed my locker and walked straight up to the two girls.

"Hi."

They looked at me like I was the weirdest person in the world. "Uhm, hi? What do you need?"

"I heard you two talking. It's about Sammi, right? Do you know where she is?"

The other girl shrugged, "Minutes ago, we saw her enter the gym. Why? Do you need anything?"

I shook my head. "Nope. None at all. Thanks anyway!" I just smiled and walked away.

That stupid jerk. I swear to all things holy, Cole Pendery. I am so going to kill you.

"Go on! Just tell me 'I told you so' and explain how stupid I am!"

Sammi broke into more tears once I approached her in the gym.

"Sammi, come on, stop crying, please? He's not--"

"Are you Sammi?" Two girls, a blonde and a redhead, approached us, looking very amused by the sight of my crying best friend.

"She is, what do you need?" I asked.

The redhead spoke up, "We were wondering if you want to join our little group."

I looked at them suspiciously, "What little group?"

"We were all past girlfriends of the Cole Pendery. And we have this aim."

"What?" Sammi managed to say in between snobs.

"To find a girl who can make him fall for her and eventually break his heart."
