HongJoong: Cocky Little Shit

HongJoong's Pov:

I'm HongJoong, I am the leader of Ateez, Ateez we the 'Bad boys' group of the school. There are eight of us, theres JongHo, WooYoung, MinGi, San, YeoSang, Yunho, SeongHwa and myself. Everyone at school avoids us like the plague as much a humanly possible, afraid that we'll bite their heads off and spit them out if they upset us in anyway, I mean they're right but still they could challenge us every once in a while. One of the reasons why I want them to challenge us so I can find them. My soulmate. I mean we all have soulmates it just apart of our lives and how we find them is well by meeting them first but we all have the first words of which our soulmate will say to us. Mine however, seems to be feisty as I am which I'll admit puts a smile on my face.

It was a regular day at school, people avoiding us as much as possible, that was before we had to split up for the morning classes and as SeongHwa and I are a year above the rest of our friends we had to go to a different part of the building which happened to be the farthest away from out lockers. We eventually got to our class and got sat down in our seats at the back of the room, and even though we're the boys from the 'oh so terrible' Ateez group we weren't stupid enough to waste time when it came to getting our work done as we were very much aware that once school finishes then it's of to the real world where cliques and shit doesn't matter so such.

The class begun and we were working on the task we were given when someone none of us had seen before had appeared at the door of the classroom. SeongHwa and I exchanged looks smirking at the fact we had someone new to torment and my god was it going to be entertaining.

(Y/N) Pov:

I walked into the room glancing around, quickly noticing the two boys who I was able to quickly recognise the two troublemakers of the school at the back, to which they both were directly looking at me as if I were some form of prey ready to be hunted, smirking at me probably thinking of all the ways that they could possibly torment me. Well all I knew was that they were going to be shocked to find that I am not one to turn tail and run away when I'm being messed with. I quickly introduced myself and sat down by the two boys at the back next the taller one with black hair who looked over at me with a smirk ready to drop whatever cheesy yet boring and overused pickup line he could think of.

Once I got settled in my seat and started to crack on with the work, I could see in the corner of my eye that the shorter, lighter haired boy sitting on the other side of the dark haired boy was nodding, signalling to his taller friend to do whatever it was that he was planning on doing. Then the next thing I knew the taller boy with dark hair moved closer to me and turned to face me.
"Hey, the names SeongHwa." He spoked confidently and somewhat seductively, I turned to face him with a raised brow and an unimpressed expression on my face and responded
"And I'm supposed to care why..?" causing 'SeongHwa' to be a little taken back by the question but he quickly regained his composure and bounced back with a
"(Y/N), did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" he finished with his infamous smirk thinking that would get me to stumble under his presence but I quickly rolled my eyes and bit back with
"No but, I did scrape my knee when I crawled my way back up from hell." I finished with a smirk. SeongHwa lost all remaining composure along with that smirk of his with no sign of it returning. I then went back to working on the task set by the teacher but not before I heard the smaller male sitting next to SeongHwa mock him saying.
"Bro, way to get shot down. The irresistible SeongHwa of KQ academy got rejected for the first. How does it feel? Must be strange for you, no?"  which was followed by an "Oh shut up HongJoong." from SeongHwa whilst shoving his friend, called HongJoong who finished the conversation with a laugh. Which caused me to smile a little at the interaction between the two.

It was lunch time and thankfully I was able to make some friends since first period so we all sat together and they all ended up telling everything they knew about the so called 'bad boys' of the academy, Ateez and that I should just keep my head down and avoid them at all costs, which to me was just stupid letting these boys control everyone the way that they do.

After I was done eating I put my rubbish in the bin and went to my locker when someone bumped into me and to my surprise it was HongJoong the leader of the Ateez group or so I was told. I was about to apologise to him when this bloodly lovely ray of sunshine, decided to say.
"Hey, maybe you should watch where you're going next time alright? it's not hard to look where you're going now is it? I know you're short and all but I didn't know you were blind too!" He carried on with his rant whilst I felt like I had been smacked in the face with a frying pan. As there was absolutely no way that this cocky little shit was my soulmate. There was just no way that this was possible. I quickly checked my arm to double check without HongJoong noticing to see the exact words he had repeated back to me moments ago. Once I read it to myself I couldn't help but let out a deep sigh this however caught his attention.

He looked at me with an annoyed expression on his face as he quickly realised that I wasn't paying any attention towards him whatsoever. He quickly went to repeat himself to which I quickly put a hand up to signal him to stop and the proceeded to tell him with an amused smirk on my face,
"You don't need to repeat yourself , I ignored you perfectly fine the first time" HongJoong then looked at me with widen eyes as if he had seen a ghost.

HongJoong's Pov:

No fucking way! This cannot be happening right now. (Y/N) was my soulmate... Once they finished what they were saying I looked at them full of shock and asked rhetorically,
"What did you just say?" To which them being the cheeky shit they are decided to repeat what they said at a much slower pace causing me to give them a 'really?' sort of look. I just couldn't believe they had said the words that were written across my arm that I had come to memorize. After recomposing myself, I couldn't help the smile that had appeared on my face to which they seemed to mirror. I was so elated that I just couldn't stop the words that came tumbling out of my mouth next.
"I've finally found you.. I can't believe that I've actually found my soulmate." (Y/N) smiled at me then proceed to walk past me leaving me to stand there in awe. I quickly turned around to see them staring back at me, smiling they asked
"You coming or what? It seems we have a lot to catch up on. Don't you think?" I couldn't help the giggle that left my mouth and without a second thought I ran after them. We were walking down the hall when we heard my group of friends cheering at us with big smiles from behind us, we both turned around to smile and wave at them whilst laughing.

(Y/N) Pov:

We walked further down the hall when HongJoong was quick to wrap his arm around my shoulders pulling me closer to him, I looked up at him with a big smile as he looked back at me as we were leaving. I just knew that my life would be anything but boring or dull with HongJoong in it and yes he may be a cocky little shit but he was my cocky little shit.
