(Name) POV

Stepping into my home, I took my shoes off and left them at the door. Sighing softly, I tried to quietly head towards the stairs to get to my room, only for someone to tap me on the shoulder.

"So," I slowly turned around to see the smiling face of my aunt, "how was the first day? Did you make any friends?"

"Nah," was my simple response as she grabbed my shoulder to force my body around, pushing me towards the couch and forcing me to sit down.

Aunt Jade was a relatively tall woman with dark, wavy hair and bright (Eye Color) eyes. Her face was littered with a few beauty marks and she almost always had a smile on her face.

She sat next to me as her smile got a bit wider. "Ah, come on, you don't have to hide anything from me!" She cried out. "What about girls, did any of them catch your eye?"

Snorting a bit, I gave a small smirk of amusement.

'One of them had Fox ears and a tail, it was kind of hard for her not to catch my eye..'

It was only when I looked up to actually answer her question that I realized that I had said my thoughts aloud.

"Awww~, a vastaya girl? When can I meet her?"

"Auntie, it was the first day of school, I barely remember her name..."

Aunt Jade just shook her head. "That just won't do, tomorrow, you're going to go to school and learn whatever you can about this girl."

Not seeing the point of her demands, my eyebrow cocked upwards in confusion. "Why? You act like we're going to become the best of friends or something..."

"Honey," her old nickname for me caught me by surprise, she hadn't called me that in forever, "I know you're not the type to make friends easily, and that doesn't bother me, but I want you to have at least one person there for you to watch your back."

She reached out and pinched both of my cheeks, making me wince softly. "I have you."

Chuckling softly, she lightened her held on my cheeks. "I can't always be there for you, we both know that. So do me this one favor, alright? It doesn't have to be that girl, it can be anyone, just make sure that you have at least one real friend, okay?"

Leaning forward, she moved my hair out of the way and kissed my forehead. She then stood up and exited the room, probably heading towards her room.

I let out a soft sigh and closed my eyes, thinking over what she said.

I guess...I could do this one thing for her, but that could wait until tomorrow.

For now, I got up and retreated to my own room.

I had a lot to think about.
