Oh no! I'm late, I'm late, I'm so late! Marinette thought as she crossed the street. It had only been a few weeks into her second semester of design school, and yet she still couldn't get there earlier than she did in high school. In her arms, she held a thick stack of papers with sketches and a few different fabrics and threads that she'd picked up a few hours before. Unfortunately, she dropped them all when she and a large body bumped, causing her to also fall. Luckily, the person had caught her before she fell face first into the concrete.
"Whoa there, be careful. You alright?" the voice asked.
"Uh, yeah, I'm fine. Thank you," Marinette bent down to pick up all her stuff. The other person did the same, whom she knew she'd seen him somewhere before. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to run into you, I'm just in a rush. Sorry again."
"It's no problem. I'm in no rush and you look like you need a bit of help. Do you mind if I help you and walk you to wherever you need to be?" He asked.
"No, it's fine. I think I can manage by myself. Besides I wouldn't want you to be late as well," she said, grabbing the thread and fabrics.
He picked up the stack of papers, which had some amazing sketches.
"Wow, these are amazing! Did you design this yourself?" He awed.
"Yes, actually. I drew all of those." She said, standing up. "I love fashion and I'm actually in design school. I've always wanted to become a fashion designer." The young man smiled at her. They were in front of Marinette's school. Marinette grabbed the papers back from the young blonde that stood across from her.
"Thank you. By the way, I never got your name," she said.
"I'm Adrien. Adrien Agreste, and you?" He asked. Marinette smiled up at him.
"Well, nice to meet you Adrien Agreste- he chuckled- I'm Marinette. Marinette Dupain-Cheng, but My friends call me 'Nette, or Mari. Thank you again for walking me to school."
"It was no trouble. It was nice to meet you. Who knows? Maybe we'll bump into each other more often," Adrien winked at her. Marinette laughed and walked up the stairs that led into the school.
"Bye," she waved at him. Adrien waves back, smiling.
"Hey look, Tikki. I made it just in time," Marinette said as the bell rang.
