Ji shook Tae gently for the 4th time that night. "Tae wake up," she called tiredly. The doctor told her to wake him every 2 hours or so, so she stayed up in order to make sure that happened.

"Ji. I'm not a big fan of this waking up. I just want to slep. I've barely slept," Tae groaned.

Ji smiled and patted his stomach. "Are you hungry? I have ramen," she offered.

"Sure," Tae sighed.

Ji walked to the kitchen and started cooking. After a while she heard Tae get up and come to the kitchen. "What are you looking for?" Ji asked when she noticed him looking in her empty cupboards.

"Food. No wonder you're so skinny. Gosh. Do you ever eat? I never see you eat lunch at school either," he scolded.

Ji squealed as she went to move the pot of food into bowls. The handle was hotter then she thought and burned her.

Tae quickly grabbed her hand and gently blew on it. "Does it still hurt?" He pulled her over to the kitchen sink, gently coating her hand in cold water.

"It's fine. It just scared me," Ji insisted.

Tae pulled her hand back to him and continued to blow on it. "I have a foggy memory. I'm not stupid. I can see the burn."

"Well. What's done is done. Can I have my hand back?" Ji sneered, ruder then she meant to sound.

Tae used his shirt and gently tapped the areas around the burn dry. He placed a gentle kiss on her burn and set her hand on her neck. "There. All better," he smiled.

Ji shook her hand and laughed. "Your such a dork."

"H-hey. Be careful." Tae pulled her hands back before she could reach for the pot again. He grabbed the pot holder a few feet away put it on the handle.

"You said you were overprotective. I see it. But I can't say it's a downfall," Ji laughed.

She finished distributing the food and they ate, watching a comedy on tv. Ji washed the dishes while Tae layed on the couch. When she finished she stared boredly at the wall. "Jun-hwan," she gasped. She quickly gathered her things writting a quick note to Tae that she just stepped out for a second then ran to Taes car. She drove to the hospital and found Jun who was laying in his bed tiredly. He wasn't on a ventilator and the monitor showed he was doing good. "Hi," Ji bowed.

Jun sat up weakly and smiled in relief. "Ji," he said hoarsely. "How are you?"

"I'm good. Your brother couldn't make it so I came instead," Ji explained.

Jun smiled weakly before his body gave put and he drifted back into his original laying position. "I'm a bit thirsty."

Ji set her bag down and sat next to him on the bed. She tilted a glass of water to his mouth and studied him. "You look like you want to leave."

"Of course I do. I miss TaeTae. Where did you say he was?"

Ji cleared her throat and smiled slightly. "My house."

Jun looked at her confused. "Why?" He asked.

"He just got a small concussion so I wanted to make sure he was treated right and-

"It's ok. Hes not the kind who likes good girls. Or smart girls. So I was just a bit confused," Jun reassured her.

Ji frowned slightly upset. "Do you feel better?" She changed the subject.

"Yeah. I guess I shouldn't have kept pretending to be fine. That kinda hurt more," he laughed at his stupidity.

Ji held his hand sympathetically. "I will make sure to protect you better next time."

Jun kissed her hand gently and tugged for her to come closer. "There won't be a next time. And I really like you Ji. I know my brother hurt you a lot, but I want you to be my girlfriend. You dont need an answer now but maybe by the end of the month?" Jun asked.

Ji looked at her watch she had been gone for about 30 minutes. "I'll think about it I have to go though. I promised a friend I'd meet them." She leaned over him, hugging him gently. "Get better Jun-Hwan. I'll see you in school soon."

Ji got her things and left quietly. Once out of his room she ran to the car in panic. What was she supposed to do now? She stopped at an alley store, buying a bunch of whiskey. She drank a bunch on the way home and burst back into her house drunk.

"Ji. You're home. I saw you're note and. . . Are you drunk?" Tae asked shocked.

Ji crashed into the couch continuing to drink some whiskey. "I don't know. . ." She hiccupped. "What to do now."

"Ji you're drunk," Jin laughed, amused.

Ji groaned loudly and grabbed his arm tightly. "Would you," she slurred. "date someone out of pity. even though you like someone else?"

"What's the pitty?" Tae asked.

"He's dying."

Tae studied Ji closely. "Well. . . Personally I don't date people I don't like so. . . No." He grabbed her arm and gently pulled her half way into his arms. "Why do you ask?"

"Fuck." Ji groaned rolling into Taes arms. "I don't know what to do. What do I do?"

Tae lifted her up gently. "Sober up," he laughed.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and giggled. "You're pretty."

"Pretty?" Tae laughed carrying her to her room. "That's a new one."

Tae set her on the bed but she pulled him into her, kissing him. Tae pulled away quickly "Ji," he gasped. "You're really drunk. You don't want to do that," he hissed gently.

Ji grabbed him again, pulling him violently back to her.

"Ji please. Your drunk and I-

She kissed him again. Tae started pulling back but gave up and kissed her back.

She let Tae pull her the rest of the way on the bed and everything seemed to go black.
