Ji woke up craddled in Taes arms on the couch of his house.
She checked the time tiredly then gasped. They had 15 minutes to get to class. "Tae we're late!" She shook him.
Tae groaned and sat up confused. "What?"
"We're almost late. Let's go," Ji rushed.
Tae pulled Ji back into him and layed down. "Let's take a day off. We had a long night," he insisted.
"B-but Tae. . ." She paused. "Let me go." Her voice changed into a frantic hush.
Tae released her obediently. "What did I-
He was interupted by her running away.
"J-Ji?" He called worriedly following her straight into the bathroom. Without hesitation he held her hair back and took care of her.
"Ji," Tae spoke as he carried her to the living room. "Should we go to the hospital? Is this normal?"
"It's ok," Ji said quietly, resting her head on his shoulder.
Tae sat on the couch, cradling her in his arms. "We'll stay home today," he declared.
Ji hugged him gently and closed her eyes, falling back asleep.
1 week later
"Should I come visit Jun with you today?" Ji asked. "I haven't seen him in a week."
Tae stayed silent for a long while before gently hooking Jis arm as they walked. "Ok. . . Don't tell him that you're officer is ok," Tae said teasingly but seriously.
Ji rolled her eyes and laughed. When they got into the hospital they seperated arm and walked into Juns room.
"Get him to OR," someone demanded frantically.
Tae looked around confused at the frantic doctors. His eyes landed on the machine showing his breaths. Shallow. Slow. Barely breathing. "J-Jun? Jun!" He screamed. "What- what happend?"
"Collapsed lung," a nurse spoke as she propped the door opened. "And a possibility of pneumonia."
"But he was doing perfectly fine yesterday!" Tae yelled.
The nurse looked at him confused. "S-sir. He's been slowly getting worse since he's came here. The only improvements have been him regaining conciousness and making his breathing steadier."
Tae pushed through the doctors as they worked on preparing another bed to transfer Jun in. "Jun look at me," he demanded. "Hey," he spoke softly, gently stroking Juns cheek. "Come on kid. Look at me. I know you can do it."
Jun carefully, slowly cracked his eyes opened.
Tae laughed and kissed Taes forehead. "I love you. Ok? You know you'll be ok. I have the money."
"I," Jun breathed in a weak, barely audible voice. "Love you."
"Shh. Don't talk baby boy," Tae tapped Juns nose teasingly then hugged him tightly. "You're going to be alright."
A short while passed and the doctor asked Tae to move. He didn't so the doctor had to quickly force Tae away. "N-no!" He yelled as he let Jun go. "J-Jun I'll be waiting right here!" He called. "And I brought the girl you said you liked," tae added as they lifted him into the new bed and ran down the hall. "She likes you Jun. You can't leave her hanging." "I love you. I-
The door to the operating room slammed closed behind the last nurse, leaving Tae to stand against the door with his unfinished words.
"I fucking love you," he mumbled. He slid to the floor in a heep.
Ji stood confused. What was she supposed to do? She couldn't magically make Jun better.
"Babe you need to get up," she said softly, rubbing his shoulder.
Tae wrapped his arms around her neck and held her tightly.
Ji pulled him to his feet, dragging him to the nearest seat. "T-Tae?"
He looked her in the eyes witha sad gaze. A tear gently rolled down his face. "I don't know what to do," he whispered. "I can't lose him Ji. What do I do?"
Ji held him tightly. "I- I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Tae."
3 day's later.
Ji walked into Juns room. He still hadn't woken up. Tae was standing by the window, leaning against it tiredly. "Hey," she greeted.
"We need to talk," Tae said. He pushed himself off the window and fixed his hair. He pointed towards the door, telling Ji to go out.
"Is he ok? What's wrong?" Ji questioned.
Tae lead her to a chair and sat her down. "He should be ok." He cleared his throat and gently held her hand. "Ji. . . I-I. . ." He took a deep breath. "I want to break up."
Ji stared at him shocked. She studied his face for any signs of humor but could tell he was serious. "What did I do? I can change it. I-I can. . . I can-
"No. Ji. No. It's just. . . I can't do this to Jun. He likes you so much and I'm the reason you dont like him so. . ." Tae explained.
Ji stood up panicked. "W-well what am I supposed to do? I'm pregnant," she cried, trying to stay quiet.
"Ji. I'll give you money. I'll pay for anything you need. I promise I just. . ." He paused as Ji covered her mouth then walked quickly away in tears. "Ji please."
He sighed and walked back into Juns room.
Ji stormed out of the hospital, ignoring the rain falling on her. She walked a mile or so to town and wandered through the streets.
"Ji," someone called. "Hey Ji."
It was Yeon. He slid his arm over her shoulder, covering her with an umbrella. "Oh my gosh Ji. What's wrong?" He asked pulling her tight to him.
Ji looked up at him, breaking down in tears. "H-he b-broke up with me," she cried.
Yeon pulled her into his chest tightly. "I'm sorry Ji. Here. Get in my car. Let's get you out of those wet clothes."
Ji let him help her in a car. He got in the drivers seat and began driving. "I'm sorry. I'm getting everything wet," Ji sniffled.
"It doesn't matter," Yeon said. "Are you ok?"
Ji stayed silent.
They got to Yeons house and he carried her in. He set her gently on his bed and pulled her sweater off, handing her a change of clothes. "Get into some dry clothes. I'll make something to eat," he said walking out and closing the door behind him.
