nightmares and dreams aren't reality

You woke up crying. You felt terror coursing throughout your body. It tensed in the most painful by how fearful you were. You recalled your dream. Terrifying it was. Watching- no they didn't die. Not in front of you at least but learning that they did. It felt so real, like you actually experienced it.

Maybe you did and now you were dreaming that it was fake. By now you couldn't tell the difference. In a panic you looked for your phone and check the news. You searched the names of your comrades.

They were still alive.

If you could breathe you would exhaled loudly in relief. You could've sworn you started crying out of pure happiness.

You got out of bed and looked outside. The grassy field of looked greener then every despite it getting colder. You could see the hill with the tree on top. You took off the swing. The screws came loose. You'd put up a new swing next year.

Oh how you would've loved to bring Tomura here. He would've loved it. You smiled sadly at the thought of Tomura. How you all failed to save him.

Nonetheless you grabbed your suitcase and started heading downstairs. You smelled the fresh air of the countryside before bidding farewell to Jerry who took care of the house the rest of the year while you were gone. He was a nice polite man. Did a fine job if helping you rebuild the house.

You made your way into the car and into the city. It was a long drive but you didn't mind. You got see all kinds of sights. Some which reminded you of what you wanted show Tomura.

Your flight was long and tiring. You sat in first class but still. You stared out the window the whole time. The many sights as you headed back to Japan. You had received a summon from a group of heroes. They had wanted you to be apart of their team.

Being one of the top three meant you had a title. Some sort of symbol.

Deku was the symbol of Hope.
Dynamite was the symbol of Victory.
Blessing was the symbol of Protection.

You could imagine the look on Red Riots face when he found out you were the symbol of Protection rather than him. He cried for a week.

But the top 3 heroes were deemed the symbol of The future. Granted the three of you used to say that their classmates were also Symbols of the Future. You never said your classmates like they did. You couldn't reveal that their classmate that had gone 'missing' was actually the number three top hero in Japan. The time never felt right. The time would probably never felt right so it was best to leave it alone.

You arrived at the your home. This was actually the only place you could actually call home. This house that you had owned had been your house for the past decade which was actually more than you could say for any other place you had.

It was special in a way...? It was the only place you actually got comfortable in.

But never mind that, you dressed yourself in dark colors that would help you blend in. You may have not had you identity revealed but that didn't mean your high school friends wouldn't recognized you. Would've been easier if you aged but you did so... instead you made a compromise.

You put on a beanie and a mask on. Thank the gods for it being it being early October. It was already getting colder so you'd blend in more. No sane person would wear a beanie in summer, you'd just stand out more.

When you arrived at your agency you asked your receptionist to let the Wonder Duo's agency know that you'd be arrived shortly. She obliged as you went up stairs to your office to change.
