CHAPTER TWO, budapest

IVANNA SIGHED AS she made sure she had her gun in her bag and made her way off of the train she was on. She had finally reached Budapest and considering that she left shortly after the message from Natasha: Natasha was still there. This was also confirmed by the coordinates she received from Natasha, leading to a place that Ivanna knew extremely well. Ivanna was swift as she made her way out of the train station, avoiding the eyes of other travelers as she pushed her way through the crowd. Ivanna had destroyed any technology that was directly hers and had gotten a few burner phones so she could dispose of them while in Hungary. The blonde tuned out the sounds of people talking, as well as the announcements being made by the people who worked at the station while she pushed out of the building, and onto the streets of Budapest.

Ivanna roamed around the streets for a while, her hands crammed into her pockets while she scanned the parking spaces for a faster way to get to her destination. Ivanna had no luck and was nowhere near interested in stealing from someone. Ivanna kept her head low and continued down the sidewalks, avoiding making eye contact with anyone. None of these people would be on her side if they knew who she was.

Ivanna only stopped when she stood outside of an old apartment complex. She raised her gaze to the stop, taking in the height while she sighed deeply and lowered her eyes back down to the door. She could turn back at this rate, but she also knew she couldn't let Natasha down. Ivanna and Natasha were both fugitives, and Natasha wouldn't bring Ivanna to Budapest if it wasn't important. Because both knew that two widows in one place only raizes for targets on their back, no matter the new identity.

The blonde continued forward, walking to the door and pushing it open. The lobby area was empty, showing just how old and how few people would be in the building. She glanced around briefly before moving toward the elevator. Ivanna walked in. As she reached the floor she wanted, Ivanna found herself reaching into the back of her waistband for her gun. Ivanna paused at the front door of the apartment she wanted, holding her gun in the direction of the handle as she gripped it and began twisting the knob.

Ivanna pushed the door open, only to be greeted with the voices of two women. One held a thick Russian accent, and the other was too familiar for Ivanna's liking. Ivanna continued in, lowering her gun away once more and focusing her attention on the rooms around her while she tracked the source of the two voices. There were holes in the walls and a bottle of open vodka on a table with a glass discarded next to it. The weapons room still contained multiple guns and other weapons: all provided by SHIELD.

Ivanna reached the room with the two voices, a blonde held a gun directly into her face. Ivanna reacted instantly and grabbed the woman's wrist, watching her scream in pain at the course of electricity running through her body. In a flash, Natasha was grabbing Ivanna's wrist and pulling her hand away from the blonde across from her.

"You idiot," Natasha hissed and threw Ivanna's hand away from the blonde, "That's Yelena."

"You didn't tell me she was coming," Yelena glared at Natasha and Ivanna as she shook her wrist, trying to regain feeling in her arm and hand, "how long have you been able to do that?"
