Harry stared at the spinning mobile in a daze.
Who would have ever thought that, just moments after his soul was sent to another parallel universe, his "parents" decided to give him up... in favor for a brother that never existed in his original universe.
What a load of bull crap!
Harry quietly vented, closing his eyes as he listened to the soft sorrowful crying next to his crib.
Sirius. Oh Sirius. Harry smiled tearfully.
Harry remembered the shouting match between what should have been a close unbreakable group friends.
When Sirius heard of their plan to send Harry away in favor to solely raise Thomas, oh did Sirius grow mad.
"How could you abandon your son so easily?!"
"You have more than enough money to raise both of them without a worry!"
"Why?! Why give up your son?!"
Harry chuckled bitterly inside.
"He's not normal! Besides, Thomas is the boy-who-lived!"
"Thomas needs all our attention! It's better to give Harry away than let him grow under Thomas' light."
"Dumbledore says it's for the best, trust us Sirius."
Sirius chuckled humorlessly, "Trust them" he says. How could he trust someone who easily abandons their own child under the notion of "to give their other child more attention" or because "Dumbledore told them so".
Sirius was disgusted, people changed and these people were longer the friends he ran amok with enjoying their youth.
"Give him to me." Sirius demanded.
"What? What do you mean?" Lily asked.
"Give me my godson— no, son. Let's go to Gringotts and get this settled."
"Sirius, what? Why are you doing this?" James asked.
"I refuse to give Harry away to strangers, once the adoption goes through. There is no Harry Potter, Heir of Potter. Do you understand? Thomas will be the heir, don't you want that?" Sirius suggested.
Sirius watched stoned face as his godson, no son, was wiped off the Potter tapestry as if he was never born.
Once everything was finalized, Sirius finally turned to the smiling Potters.
"I hope you're happy now, Potter." Sirius quietly said.
James' cheerful smile fell, "Potter? What's wrong with you Sirius?"
Sirius snarled, "You make me sick. Abandoning your own child?! You changed Potter."
James grew angry, "So what! Yeah, I gave him away, Do want him to run away from home like you did...Sirius... no. I didn't mean to say that, I swear!" James quickly apologized.
Sirius' face grew dark, "we're no longer friends, you shall refer to me as Lord Black. Don't bother to keep in touch. Good day, Lord Potter." With that Sirius walked away and never turned back.
Ignoring the tantrum like screaming and yelling from those unreliable bastards.
Harry sat up and scooted towards the railing of his crib. "Siri..." he mumbled, unused to his traitorous tongue that refused to form words.
The man remained unmoved, maybe he didn't hear him.
"S-Siri! Siri!" Harry shouted, demanding attention.
Sirius wiped his tears and picked the almost two years old out of his crib.
"Yeah buddy?" Sirius asked tiredly.
Harry frowned at his haggard look. With his limited vocabulary due to his unreliable tongue, Harry decided to give the man a pep talk.
"Siri okay? 'Arry luvs Siri! Siri dada! Luvs luvs dada!" Harry nodded approvingly, yes this will surely cheer him up.
Sirius finally cracked a smile, "Yeah, Siri is your Dada now, okay buddy?"
Harry nodded seriously, "Siri dada, 'Arry baby. Luv luv. Mmhmm!" He hummed delightfully giggling.
Oh Merlin, pretending to be a dumb babbling baby is such hard work. But for Sirius, it was worth every effort.
Sirius finally smiled brightly, "I've changed your name. Not that you'll realize it. But your name is based off our Black Family tradition. I used to hate them you know... but I realized, it's also my fault. Instead of resisting and fighting all the time, then maybe my baby brother would still be alive, and family would still be whole."
Sirius' smile dimmed in bitterness, "Aries Regulus Black, Heir of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black."
