"Hey dad I'm home!" Shinki said walking in to the lounge as he Gaara looked up from the pot that sat on the stove as he stirred the contents.

"How was your day?"

"Boring! Konohamaru-Sensei was giving us a whole talk about the incident that happened a few days ago with Boruto but other than that I guess it was okay."

"Okay, well can you watch the food while I go wake Y/N up for dinner." Gaara said heading upstairs as Shinki shrugged heading towards the pot. "Y/N~ Time to wake up dinner is ready." Gaara spoke softly as he gently tickled his wife's cheek.

"Mhm..." She mumbled turning over as she snuggled the blanket again making him chuckle as he moved the hair off her face kissing her nose.

"Come on sweetheart after we eat you can go back to bed."

"Alright~" She spoke finally opening her eyes as she stretched yawning as he moved away letting her get out of bed as he helped her up.

"I'll just go and set the table." He said as she smiled nodding.

It was late that night as the three sat on the sofa watching a movie. Gaara sat next to his wife while Shinki sat on the other side of his father mostly on his phone.

"Dad I got a call from Mom she wants me over this weekend..."

"Okay, just tell her to phone me and organise a time." Gaara said with a small smile as he turned to see his wife sleeping instead of watching tv as he let out a small laugh. He ran a hand through her hair as she leaned into him making his lips crack a smile. Before her being pregnant he could go on business trips often but lately she seemed to have times when she'd just crave his presence he found it absolutely cute. He woke her up slowly as she eventually opened her eyes before he lifted her carrying her upstairs.

"You didn't have to carry me again...I'm heavy now..." She said with a pout as he smiled.

"You're carrying my child and my heart this is nothing." As she giggled hitting his shoulder lightly.

"That's so cheesy Gaara!" She laughed as he smiled at how happy she looked. Times like these he wondered why he married Sara and couldn't just meet her first. The beginning of their relationship was mostly him venting to her and she just took it she listened and held him close making him feel nothing but comfort. He was completely dependent on her for emotional support and slowly she fixed him. He could never thank her enough for what she did for him but during that time she managed to creep into his heart. The way she accepted him with all his flaws, the ways she loved Shinki. She was just what he needed, someone to understand him and help him. She didn't take advantage of him, she made him whole again. And he would make sure no one ever tried to hurt her or their relationship.

After putting her to bed he locked the house up receiving a call from Sara he sighed answering the call.

"Hello Sara."

"Oh hello Gaara dear~!" She sang as he cringed scrunching his nose up in disgust.

"Are you well?"

"Yes why do you ask?"

"Your voice sounds damaged..." He answered plainly as she frowned hearing him indirectly insult her.

"My bad I forgot you like the voices younger..." She mocked.

"Oh not just the voices..." He said making her grit her teeth. "Oh and since the baby she just loves to keep me close to her more than usual."

"Every pregnancy is different..."

"So is every woman...some love you and build you while others betray you and cheat on you but I guess I have to thank you for giving Y/N something to fix...don't you think?" He said slyly as she ignored him deciding to get to business.

"Yeah I'll pick Shinki up at 9am on Saturday..."

"Yeah okay...have a goodnight." He said not bothering to hear more of her voice as he immediately cut the call. He walked upstairs feeling his wife's baby bump as he smiled noting how cute she looked asleep wrapped in the blanket.
